Inside Sales Support Engineer


I'm working closely with a successful and well established multinational who are looking for an experienced inside sales support engineer to join their Galway based technical team. The organisation are headquartered in Galway but this role is flexible to allow someone to be based remotely from elsewhere on the island of Ireland if necessary.
You'll be working side by side with my clients technical team getting involved from the start of the sales cycle and providing technical support to their customers from every step of the process. It's vital that you can show a great track record of interacting with customers and have strong interpersonal skills. In an ideal world you'll have some experience in sales and be confident in presenting and speaking with external customers when necessary. Some experience of technical training would also be a bonus.
You'll be working with the customers and providing technical support step by step through the sales process and helping to walk them through any technical difficulties to lead towards a sale.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 4+ years hands on experience in a customer facing technical support role
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extensive experience in a customer focused environment
  • AWS experience
  • Linux skills
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP etc
  • Knowledge of Networking & Security
  • Experience in technical training would be a bonus
  • Sales experience a big plus
