Senior SAP Technical Architect - ECC to S4 HANA migration Reporting to: IT Director <ul><li>Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of strategic technology initiatives, ensuring IT systems align with business objectives.</li><li>This senior role will be instrumental in major projects, including the consolidation of Dublin offices into a single campus and the replacement of the current SAP ECC 6 Practice Management system with a modern alternative to support digital transformation.</li><li>The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders, providing architectural leadership and ensuring seamless integration of technology solutions across key business areas.</li></ul>Key Responsibilities: Technology Architecture Oversight<ul><li>Define the overall architecture for systems and applications, covering software tools, databases, release management, and infrastructure.</li><li>Evaluate and recommend suitable technologies, tools, and platforms to align with business objectives.</li><li>Ensure the architecture supports performance, scalability, and future growth.</li><li>Assess if current applications and platforms align with the firm’s transformation vision.</li></ul>Stakeholder Communication<ul><li>Present and explain the recommended technology stack, including cloud deployment strategies, programming tools, and databases.</li><li>Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.</li><li>Communicate technical proposals clearly to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Mediate technical discussions and align expectations among different teams.</li></ul>Technical Leadership<ul><li>Guide development and infrastructure teams to adhere to architectural standards and best practices.</li><li>Resolve technical issues and ensure smooth integration between different teams and systems.</li><li>Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best security practices.</li><li>Implement best practices for system optimization, scalability, and supportability.</li><li>Oversee all technology touchpoints across the organization.</li><li>Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements for system efficiency.</li></ul>Project Management & Performance Optimization<ul><li>Develop and maintain technical roadmaps for all key systems.</li><li>Implement monitoring and performance strategies to enhance system efficiency.</li><li>Lead the adoption of new technologies and ensure adherence to best practices.</li><li>Identify and mitigate architectural risks.</li><li>Contribute to the project budgeting process.</li></ul>Key Competencies:<ul><li>Proven experience leading end-to-end technology architecture implementations at small, medium, or large enterprises.</li><li>Strong understanding of diverse data technologies and architecture best practices, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions (SAP and non-SAP data objects).</li><li>Knowledge of the Professional Services industry and core business processes (e.g., Hire to Retire, Procurement, Project Systems).</li><li>Expertise in operating systems, Kubernetes, Containers, and Docker in cloud environments.</li><li>Strong grasp of cloud computing, system design, and programming languages for cloud-native applications (SAP BTP, Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, AliCloud).</li><li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.</li><li>Understanding of Enterprise Architecture tools (e.g., SAP LeanIX or TOGAF-based tools).</li></ul>Qualifications & Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.</li><li>8–10 years of experience as a Technical Architect or similar role, with a strong background in system design and architecture.</li><li>Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders.</li><li>Knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps practices.</li><li>Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and its integration with other cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, AliCloud).</li><li>TOGAF or AWS certification is highly desirable.</li></ul>(Additional information is available on successful application)   Ref: EET6652 —oOo—   Candidates must be eligible to work full time and long term in the location specified or currently hold a valid appropriate long term work Visa to apply.   If you are interested in applying for this role, please do so via the relevant link.
