Your Day to Day

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate quality testing activities of all our software: Backend, Front end Mobile apps.
  • Maintain and execute test cases and/or regression test suites, manually in support of our daily deployment.
  • Test software at the various phases of the development life cycle, including post release tests.
  • Production Support and patch/hot-fix management, creating and executing tests to validate issues and fixes.
  • Report bugs, and update and track issues through to resolution using Jira and in a manner that ensures that all stakeholders are in a position to reproduce the bug, if required.
  • Communicate test results and findings i.e., test sessions, including bugs and producing training documentation, to improve knowledge transfer. 
  • Audit current products and identify deficiencies and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the overall development team, including Product UX to define opportunities to improve our web portals and mobile applications.

 

What Youll Need to Excel in this Role

  • Bachelor of computer science, engineering or software degree required 
  • 3 + years of experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies, and others
  • Manual test experience required
  • Strong knowledge of testing some or all of the following: web-based applications as well as mobile and backend API
  • Familiar with tools such as: JIRA, BitBucket, Postman
  • Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation
  • Strong understanding of the full SDLC
  • Experience with writing SQL queries (Selects, Joins etc.)
  • Some knowledge of CI/CD tooling and processes an advantage
  • A strong knowledge and awareness of the security aspects of software
  • Strong and clear verbal and written communication skills are essential patience and the ability to break down technical jargon is key to the user experience
  • A continuous learning mindset to keep abreast of new solutions, technologies, and skills

Summary:
A Quality Specialist is required for a biotech company in North Dublin. The Quality Specialist will support Quality Risk Management (QRM) and compliance activities as required, in collaboration with the project team.   • Ensure linkage from the output of the QRAs to the Commissioning, Qualification and Validation strategies.

  • Support for related Compliance deliverables in support of audits and inspection readiness.
  • Support for Change Management activities.
  • Provide compliance contribution to project teams and leads small projects.
  • Understands and applies regulatory / compliance requirements to their role together with remaining current on upcoming company and regulatory expectations and compliance changes/challenges.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in natural or applied sciences (Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biology, Engineering).
  • Minimum 3-5 years pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry experience in Quality/ Compliance / Validation related role.
  • Experience in startup biotechnology and drug substance facilities a distinct advantage.
  • Familiarity with Commissioning & Qualification lifecycle deliverables.
  • Sound awareness and understanding of pharmaceutical business, especially with regards to quality, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in Quality Risk Assessments, as a participant, risk lead or facilitator.
  • Experience in change controls.
  • Experience in project management with demonstrated problem solving capabilities and technical writing capability.

Our leading pharmaceutical client is seeking a QA Associate to joing their team in Cork. This is an 11-month contract. 

Job responsibilities:

  • Ensure site preparation for GMP operations by supporting cross functional initiatives
  • Review and approve electronic and paper production batch records
  • Release Raw Materials for production
  • Support Technology Transfer of a new product into the site including raw material and supplier qualification
  • Review and approve Trackwise deviation and investigations reports, ensuring root causes have been identified and corrective action implemented
  • Provide support as required: Document control, New or updates to relevant quality agreements, process and Cleaning Validation activates

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bsc of Science degree, or equivalent, in a technical discipline (physical, engineering, chemical or biological science, pharmacy)
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a cGMP regulated manufacturing environment, with exhibited knowledge and proficiency in Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Experience in supporting manufacturing operations, batch record review and deviation/CAPA is highly desirable
