A busy factory in Naas are currently seeking a Production supervisor in the Hygiene Department to lead a team of hygiene operators in achieving their daily targets, yields and efficiencies through effective cleaning / handover of the factory
You must have experience in a hygiene role within manufacturing or production
Duties include;
• Have the factory Audit Ready at all times
• Delegate tasks to hygiene team according to skills/training matrix
• Clean production equipment and facilities
• Ensure all Cleaning Instruction Cards & Standard Operating Procedures are followed
• Highlight training needs to Hygiene Manager
• Train individuals as required
• Train the team to correct standards as per procedures
• Use chemical agents as directed by the Manager in the discharge of cleaning operations after receiving proper instructions and training
• Carry out special projects
• Be flexible in terms of any other cleaning duties as directed by Manager
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Work closely with Production Supervisor in planning activities
• Ensure all staff work in a safe manner, proactively highlighting potential risks
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Conduct weekly inventory of chemicals and PPE
• Induct new members into team
• Plan and maintain roster on weekly basis
• Check and maintain chemical strengths

As Shift Production Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of production and people management for their shift team working a 24 x 7 cycle.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Ensuring that SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & People) objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Effectively leading, motivating and mentoring a large shift team in a highly automated environment.
Demonstrate Safety First Leadership to ensure associates are engaged in maintaining and operating work areas, equipment and processes in a safe and orderly manner.
Create an environment to promote engagement through good communications, regular reviews of performance and by exhibiting the BD leadership standards. Develop subordinates through involvement, delegation and assigning special projects where appropriate.
Assist with the selection, hiring and training of personnel. Maintain a high standard of industrial and employee relations by ensuring implementation of uniform interpretation of company policies and procedures.
Use computer systems as required to maximise efficiencies across production, HR and other relevant areas – e.g., MES, SAP, Workday, etc.
Determine and assist with resolving root causes of line problems, quality issues and waste. Background knowledge of application of appropriate techniques for this such as lean manufacturing and six sigma tools would be advantageous.
Lead BP Production System deployment and actively support the plant Continuous Improvement program.
The Successful candidate will hold a Third level qualification coupled with extensive and relevant work experience.

The business operates two manufacturing sites in Ireland (Naas and Longford) employing approximately 450 FTEs and producing c. 50k tons of Pizzas annually, predominantly under the Goodfella’s and San Marco brands. BEP also produces own label Pizza for many retailers in both the UK and Ireland.
The core responsibility of the Production Manager role is to lead their team and contribute to the overall operational performance of the plant. The role will report directly to the Factory General Manager and will work closely with the relevant support functions e.g. Engineering, Technical, HR, Health & Safety, New product development. The job holder will be a key member of the sites manufacturing management team.
This successful individual will be value driven with a proven track record in managing activities within a production environment through the resources available to them.

A busy food manufacturing plant in the Naas area are currently seeking a Production Supervisor
• Attend daily production meetings and address any issues raised.
• Manage attendance, timekeeping, overtime and annual leave
• Delegate and organize work to meet production targets such as output, waste, yield, efficiency.
• Meet required quality and production targets whilst ensuring delivery requirements are met for customers
• Conduct employee appraisals and probationary performance reviews
• Deal with employee grievances and disciplinary in conjunction with the Plant Manager / HR department
• Escalate any foreseen problems required to the Plant Manager if deemed necessary
• Review all production / management data (such as downtime, waste, process sheets, non-conformances, on hold logs) to ensure compliance
• Monitor control of all items within the area such as production tools, probes, machine parts in line with metal procedures and other such foreign matter procedures in place.
• Energy and waste management
• Ensure the work area and machines are in a clean / safe / hygienic manner
• Ensure all equipment is operated in accordance with training provided and that all staff are trained and signed off.
• Ensure all hygiene and safety procedures and Quality systems are adhered to at all times
• Ensure adherence to CCP points and that they are kept under control at all times
• Ensure all SOPs are up to date and reviewed at minimum annually or if there is a change in process. All staff to be trained in the latest version of SOPs. All SOPS must take into account “best practice” in relation to operation, quality and health & safety.
• Ensure all products are produced and packed to company / customer specification and on the ‘get it right first time’ motto.
• Ensure handling and use of all ingredients / finished product targets a zero wastage approach and reduces and write off risk to the business
