Summary:
Our client, a Global Life Science company in North Dublin, is seeking to recruit a 4 cycle (24/7) Manufacturing Production Supervisor (non- unionised position) to join the Manufacturing Operations Department. Reporting to the Shift Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the Process area operates in safe and GMP compliant manner at all times. The incumbent will manage a team of process chemists and/or chemical process operators.
Responsibilities:

• The role will be to build upon and improve existing process design to optimize process, facility and equipment use while conforming to SOPs and cGMP requirements.
• Lead and develop the team, to ensure safe and timely completion of all process activities according to cGMP's.
• Coordinate the workload of your team in order to meet schedules and timelines.
• Lead any Safety Investigations from your area identify and implement CAPA's.
• Mentor and coach your team in order to drive full performance and development.
• Set performance goals and objectives for team, and conduct performance appraisals.
• Work with the Shift Team Leads/Shift Manager (Shift Leadership Team) and track area progress on key issues.
• Drive Shift Metrics for your team.
• Fully Support all New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, to ensure Right First Time introduction of new products.
• Participate in and attend cross-functional (multidiscipline) meetings.
• Lead project-related working groups (cross-functional) in order continuously improve process and performance, with specific focus on Human Error reduction.
• Involved in recruitment and development of team.
• Lead investigations and corrective action follow-up to ensure closure of events/investigations in line with department metrics.
• Act as interface between management team and functional team.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of area SOPs and validation documents for equipment and procedures, and assist in the writing of area status reports, regulatory documents, and process descriptions.
• Drive implementation and embedding of Lean Tools in the area (Standard Work, 5S, Yellow Belt).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant degree level qualification.
• 4 to 5 years of working experience in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment.
• API experience is required.
• Prior relevant team leadership experience in a regulated manufacturing operations environment.
• Working knowledge of production operations, scheduling, design, planning, etc.
• Knowledge of lean management systems.
• Previous experience defining and establishing policies and SOPs.
  Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• An ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced and goal driven environment.

• Supervise all production and loading staff (18)
• Monitor production staff working hours and prepare dashboard reporting for senior management.
• Implement health and safety standards and best practices.
• Prepare and present health and safety toolbox talks.
• Maintain up to date training and health and safety records while making sure that staff are sufficiently cross trained across all machines.
• Attend regular health and safety committee meetings.
• Oversee quality, monitor returns, defective items and carry out daily product inspection.
• Oversee accidents and incidents reporting.
• Assist in ISO management procedures, including internal audits.
• Work to meet production capacity to match company sales on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
• Preparing reports for management
• Ensure all production documentation is traceable and accurate.

• 3 years plus experience in a production supervision or similar role, ideally from a manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in management

• Supervise daily workloads through the production department
• Manage the production team inline with company performance management structures

• Drive a quality driven approach ensuring quality is always a first consideration in the production department.
• Lead and motivate the production team ensuring instructions are communicated clearly without room for misinterpretation.
• Manage production reports and KPI reports for the senior management team

• A third level qualification in a relevant field (engineering, food science, production)
• 5 Years experience in a supervisor/ Team Lead type role in a high volume production facility.
• A keen eye for process improvement with an ability to adjust and write SOPs
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent communication skills

Production Technician

To ensure batches are manufactured in accordance with the relevant SOP and to agreed targets to meet all planning requirements

Responsibilities:

• Transfer from New Product Development of both manufacturing and testing
• Carry out appropriate and fit for purpose preventative maintenance on all equipment
• Label management to include: equipment, design, layout, quality control, regulatory requirements and application
• Manufacture of batches in accordance with their SOPs including filling, capping and sealing where required
• Raw material management and preparation to include: characterisation, purification, distillation, recrystallization, synthesis and testing

Experience:

• 3^rd level science qualification (minimum ordinary level degree)
• Knowledge & experience of some or all of the following techniques: Batch chemical manufacturing / use of electrochemical instruments / titrations / chromatography / ICP/AA / physical chemistry techniques
• Working knowledge and experience of modern PLC controlled filling, capping, labelling and packaging equipment
• Good Laboratory Practice ISO17025 /  ISO9001:2009  /  Chemistry

The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership and management of the site maintenance team ensuring the availability of plant and services across both tablet manufacturing & packaging. Task management of employees and personnel management, including tactical career development coaching. Leads the day-to-day activities of a large team of Engineers & Technicians across the Engineering Operations group including Manufacturing, Packaging, Facilities & Utilities.
Responsibilities:

• Builds and manages an effective team and ensures that all personnel are fully aligned to the Engineering Vision & strategy, their customer needs and requirements, providing an excellent level of services.

• Working knowledge of and experience with using OEE measurement desirable.
