Our client a busy manufacturing company based in the Carlow area currently have a job available for a junior IT Support Technician / IT Graduate
This post requires you to be very hands-on, have good attention to detail and be able to demonstrate a professional and pro-active approach to work. You will be a self-starter who has a desire to understand and add value within the IT Team. You will be working in a fast-paced, thriving environment. Transport is required as job is located in a countryside setting with no local transport links.
Responsibilities and Duties

  • Working to support all production activity to maintain uptime and minimise disruption.
  • Knowledge of Network Installation and Network Cabling
  • Knowledge of VMWare, Windows 10, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Office
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organisation information.
  • Ad hoc duties as they may arise

Qualifications & Experience Required
  • A 3rd Level Degree in IT or related field
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.

Competencies

  • Organising and prioritising issues as they occur.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Confidentiality and Judgement
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative and as a team player.
  • Ability to work within tight operating deadlines.

150 crew, we are currently working on a number of projects in production and in development


The Job Details

We are looking for a Compositing Artist to join the team at My Father's Dragon

Following the Director’s vision, and under the guidance of Art Director, Compositing Supervisor, the Compositing Artist plays a critical role in assembling all artwork created for a given scene and generate tests and final composited shots for a 2D hand drawn animated feature project.

  • Monitor daily Digital Ink and Paint exports

  • Testing and developing compositing methods

  • Layer each sequence/scene

  • Working with multiple 2D animation passes to achieve a high standard cinematic image

  • Technical checking and problem solving as needed

  • Add camera moves, masks, filters, blurs, colour-adjustments, particle effects, time-effects and anything else that generally falls under the umbrella of 2D Compositing

  • Work according to expected weekly quota , comprising multiple passes and approval by the Supervisor and Director.

  • Render final High Res frames for post production

  • Address any problems and communicate progress of work to the Coordinator

  • Ability to manage time successfully in prioritizing tasks

  • Strong communication skills

  • Availability on Google Hangout and by email during working hours.

  • This list in not exhaustive and might be complemented by reasonable and related tasks that are requested of you

  • Able to work in-house in Kilkenny, Ireland.


What we would like to see from you:

  • NUKE, advanced level

  • Development and Python scripting in NUKE, a plus

  • Experience with and knowledge of 2D animation pipeline, preferred

  • Knowledge of Toon Boom, a plus

  • Knowledge of Photoshop, a plus

  • Experience in a similar role on theatrical feature production

  • Minimum 2 years experience in feature and television production

Please note this position requires the candidate to work full time in-house in Kilkenny, Ireland. (Exact travel date to relocate to Kilkenny will be dependent on clearance provided by government officials in order to minimize exposure and spread of Covid 19)
