SUMMARY OF ROLE:
We are currently recruiting for Health & Safety & HR Manager for our Client based in Dunsany, Co Meath. This is a full-time permanent position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role involves developing H & S Management Systems and HR Systems on-site and is heavily involved in the pro-active management of the business from a H&S and HR perspective. Working with the Site management team including the Site Manager, Production Managers, Ops Manager and Maintenance Manager this role requires an individual with a 'backbone', strong communication skills and the personality to put Health & Safety & HR practices at the forefront of everyone's agenda onsite.
• Develop and implement all necessary H&S & HR procedures and policies and ensure compliance with legislation, codes, standards, and industry best practice;
• Maintain HR records and deal with all HR issues in a timely and sensitive basis;
• Facilitate site team in the execution of planned inspections, risk assessments, training needs analysis;
• PPE surveys and occupational health & hygiene surveys including work station ergonomic surveys;
• Ensure all accidents and incidents are thoroughly recorded and investigated by Management to identify route causes and ensure that effective corrective actions are taken as required;
• Work with external medical / occupational health resources to identify, control and provide information to employees on site occupational health hazards;
• Maintain records of all relevant H&S documentation, reports, files, forms, etc. using the companys software and a suitable, electronic filing system;
• Train or organise training for staff at all levels on H&S issues and responsibilities, including induction;
• Help carry out risk assessments, identify how risk could be reduced & produce reports to suggest improvements;
• Carry out site inspections to check policies and procedures are being executed correctly;
• Keep records of any inspections findings or accidents on site and produce statistics for
managers;
• Partake in-house training with site management/staff about health and safety issues and risks;
• Ensure equipment is installed safely;
• Provide support to management on all HR related matters;
• Co-ordinate the recruitment process from start to finish;
• Provide support in employee relations issues, such a disciplinary and grievances;
• Liaise with Payroll every month with staff changes/amendments;
• Day to day queries from employees and managers;
• Administration of employee files;
• Develop suite of reports to support HR & Business Strategy;
• Review and keep up to date all HR Policies, Employee Handbook, develop Code of Conduct;
• Review and record all HR processes.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• You will have a relevant qualification in Occupational Safety and Health & HR with experience in a similar role;
• You will ideally come from a food production background or other highly regulated & quality focused manufacturing sector;
• A positive "can-do" attitude;
• You should have the drive, confidence and resilience to get things done;
• Analyse problems and come up with ideas;
• You will be expected to keep yourself up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety & Employment legislation and any developments that affect the food industry;
• Have the ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner with unquestionable integrity;
• Solid working knowledge of MS Office.
RATE OF PAY:
€40,000-€45,000 depending on experience.
WORKING HOURS:
Monday to Friday, 8am start to finish. Flexibility with regard to working hours is required.

Job DESCRIPTION
Client Care Manager is a senior management position that reports directly to the board of directors.
Key Role:
· To promote a caring environment for service users through high standards of professional practice which are conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the service users.
· Effective reporting and communication with service users, family members, PHNs, HSE, other agencies, company directors and shareholders.
· To manage the day to day co-ordination of The Care Team service provision and act as the person in charge for co-ordinating clients, community liaison officers, community supervisors, roster administrators and care staff.
· Hold responsibility and authority over provision of homecare services, clinical staff, social care staff and rostering in The Care Team.
· Work in partnership with the operations department/ operations manager/ operations director/ HR to manage staff relations and service co-ordination.
· Work in partnership with the finance department to help set out budgets, forecasts and payments and expenses.
· To co-ordinate relevant team members to provide all relevant information and leaflets to prospective new service users and visit them in their home for a discussion.
· Coordinate assessments of the service users’ needs prior to commencement of the service. To decide and assess whether The Care Team is able to meet the personal care needs of any prospective service user and to negotiate an appropriate fee with the purchasing authority or the service user or service user’s family if not in receipt of HSE assistance.
· To ensure that each new service user receives a written copy of the terms and conditions of engagement and ensure that each new service user and where appropriate their representative or carer understands them.
· To investigate complaints, take appropriate action and report to The Care Team Clinical Director.
· To liaise with and co-operate with any home healthcare inspectorate and provide feedback and report on the same.
· To play a supportive role in the provision of home healthcare within a geographical community identified providing rostered on call and emergency response as required.
· To undertake any other duties consistent with the objectives of the business as determined from time to time by the Clinical Director or Board of Directors.
· To work as part of a multidisciplinary team within The Care Team in the delivery of care services to the clients as set out in the organizations policies and procedures.
· To present and contribute at the weekly / monthly management meetings as required and any other relevant meetings.
· Actively take part in clinical governance, under taking audits and quality assurance, prepare reports for committee meetings.
· Lead and manage clinical and service staff to meet quality objectives.
· Lead and manage the team to meet financial targets to maintain and grow the business.
· Maintain strict confidentiality on operational, financial information share by directors at all times.
· Promote and grow a supportive positive culture within the team.
Requirements;
· Social Care Degree, Nursing Degree (or similar)
· Must possess (within the last 4 years) a minimum of 3 years’ management/supervisory experience, including team leadership, business strategy with resource planning and allocation
· Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
· Good organizational and time management skills
· Good Business insight
· Moderate level of IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite
· Full Irish/EU driver’s license
