Osborne are currently looking for experienced Maintenance Technician on behalf of our client who specialise in the maintenance of material handling systems. We are looking to recruit a number of Maintenance Technicians on a permanent and full-time basis to join the team in Dublin. As a Maintenance Technician, you must be self-motivated, flexible and able to work within a challenging environment. You will be an integral part of a highly skilled Maintenance team tasked with maintaining and supporting high speed automated equipment. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance activities 
• Involved in the implementation of a continuous improvement programmes  
• Carrying out upgrades to ensure the equipment set runs at optimum levels 
• Keep abreast of our client’s newest products to make sure you are able to react to any issues in a quick, efficient manner 

Essential Experience: 

• Maintenance experience, either Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical or Mechatronics. 
• Familiarity with trouble shooting automated equipment including fault finding on electrical, PLC, PC and pneumatic control systems. 
• Have worked on all aspects of general maintenance and technical cleaning. 
• Have experience in using a CMMS and working with PM programs. 
• Have good verbal and written communication skills. 
• Hold a recognised Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Engineering, qualification.

• Responsible for the installation of plant equipment and machinery on site and carrying out diagnostics and repair of malfunctioning equipment following schematic drawings and procedures in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure that equipment is maintained to produce at optimum efficiency
• Carry out all planned and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner reducing impact on production levels
• Carry out changeover activities at the performance level expected to ensure smooth transition between different product types
• Liaise with all other employees on site to ensure smooth transition of workload between shift periods
• Engage with the maintenance team and production management to identify performance /OEE issues and resolve according to priority list set by the Maintenance Manager and Production Management
• Liaise with vendors as deemed appropriate by the Maintenance Manager
• Ensure all required paperwork and checks are completed correctly and on time
• Work with the wider maintenance team to ensure a culture of manufacturing excellence is fostered on site

• Must have a Mechanical Automation & Maintenance Fitting qualification or equivalent FETAC Advanced Certificate Level 6 (National Craft Certificate)
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified Maintenance Technician in a similar environment
• Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment is a distinct advantage
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Experience working with inventory system
• Experience within the FMCG industry

The Maintenance Technician performs functions related to supporting the manufacture of drug products, such as setting-up, cleaning, and maintaining equipment and facilities.   The position incumbent is expected to adhere to all cGMP compliance and regulatory mandates and quality requirements, and comply with all SOPs and internal policies and procedures in the performance of job duties. 

Responsibilities: 

• Support and adhere to established maintenance schedules.
• Maintain production and facility equipment in strict accordance with maintenance instructions, SOPs, and cGMPs.
• Complete all required data entries with detail and accuracy in real time.
• Observe established escalation process for issues impacting established production-related Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and/or fulfillment of production goals.
• Recognize and report to immediate supervisor any process or equipment anomalies and/or deviations from accepted standards.
• Provide status updates on maintenance activities and operational challenges according to defined procedures.
• Execute machine changeovers between batches according to established SOPs and SLAs.
• Keep work area neat and orderly and observe all safety and compliance procedures.
• Seek process innovation and continuous process improvement in production area.
• Complete and conform to all training requirements for job role, including company-required and role-specific training. 
• Carry out and assist in the ongoing training of new and existing personnel, as appropriate.
• Observe all safety and compliance procedures and actively highlight any safety concerns to help drive the reduction of accidents or near misses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation craft qualification (preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry)

• Preferably 5 years GMP/pharmaceutical maintenance work experience

• Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills

• SAP and Track Wise knowledge desirable
