Summary:
My client is a Pharmaceutical company who is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Carlow. This role will support the implementation of the Maintenance Asset Management Strategy to ensure the correct maintenance program is applied to all process assets on site.

Responsibilities:

  • Create an Asset Management Strategy (AMS) for an Expansion Project.
  • Provide Technical support on reliability improvement elements, as directed by the site’s Reliability Excellence (Rx) Program, including the management of the production Predictive Maintenance system.
  • Working on state-of-the-art equipment on a high-profile project.
  • Working on building Asset Management Systems and Strategies for a state-of-the-art facility; Factory of the Future.
  • Responsible for the safe accomplishment of activities whilst following all statutory, environmental, regulatory (cGMP), corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Work in conjunction with the Production Equipment Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Reliability Excellence Team in the preparation, support during and close out of Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) Events.
  • Manage all the equipment material gathered for each event, including; Preventive/Corrective Maintenance details, equipment performance info, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Drawings, Vendor info, Spares info etc.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure that all outputs from the events are processed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for meeting predefined targets with respect to preparing documentation/data, participating in and following up on production related events for the Site's Rx Program.
  • Support the site’s Unplanned Downtime Governance process by collecting, transcribing and providing key data to stakeholders and work with the Production/Rx Team.
  • Required to comply with Global Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current Good manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the performance of day to day activities and all applicable job functions.
  • Reports to Associate Director of Maintenance & Engineering.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent qualification; ideally in a related Engineering discipline.
  • 2 years’ experience working within an Engineering or Maintenance Department required, preferably in a pharmaceutical, medical or equivalent GMP environment.
  • Knowledge of cGMP and GDP preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related computer applications required.
  • Lean Six Sigma Methodology experience desired.
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems and processing equipment.

You will be an integral part of a highly skilled Maintenance team tasked with maintaining and supporting high speed automated equipment. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance activities 
  • Involved in the implementation of a continuous improvement programmes  
  • Carrying out upgrades to ensure the equipment set runs at optimum levels 
  • Keep abreast of our client’s newest products to make sure you are able to react to any issues in a quick, efficient manner 

Essential Experience: 

  • Maintenance experience, either Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical or Mechatronics. 
  • Familiarity with trouble shooting automated equipment including fault finding on electrical, PLC, PC and pneumatic control systems. 
  • Have worked on all aspects of general maintenance and technical cleaning. 
  • Have experience in using a CMMS and working with PM programs. 
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Hold a recognised Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Engineering, qualification.

THE ROLE:

DUTIES:
  • Provide reactive & preventive maintenance to all plant equipment while also identifying the root causes of problems & suggesting process improvements for long term solutions.
  • Ensuring that all breakdowns are resolved asap while working closely with production management to ensure all maintenance work is prioritised correctly.
  • Identifying, sourcing and the replenishment of spares, coordinating and supervising on-site contractors.
  • Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed & maintaining maintenance paperwork/documentation.

Here's a few things that my client sees as critical for someone to be successful in the role:
  • You will have 2 + years' experience in commercial/production/manufacturing environment and a flexible attitude as you will sometimes need to work outside of your normal duties.
  • You will come from an Electrical OR Mechanical background
  • The shift pattern is -Am shift is 6.00 to 3.00 and the PM is 3.00 to 12.00.

Summary:
My client is a Pharmaceutical company who is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Cork. The successful candidate will lead equipment breakdown investigations and will work with the project teams to ensure maintenance and reliability.
