My client based in Limerick is a world leading firm in the area of wearable technology and medical devices and has engaged IT Search to speak to candidates regarding this challenging senior role that will work within R&D to create complex medical devices.

The role is to join an existing global team headquartered here as a Senior team member, mentoring more junior staff but bringing significant expertise to the R&D team in the areas of designing, testing and implementing embedded processes at all levels of the architecture. Working within compliance and regulatory guidelines, this role will allow the Senior Engineer to produce cutting edge technological solutions to the medical community.

This will be a hybrid onsite/remote role so candidates will need to be based within a commuting distance.

Candidates should have:

• 5 to 10 years of commercial development experience using C++ post graduation, ideally within a pharmaceutical or highly regulated environment
• Ideally Firmware development experience
• Linux (embedded) ARM and Cortex skills and architectural knowledge

Senior DevOps (AWS) Engineer – Limerick

Our client based in Limerick (open to remote working within Ireland at present, but ultimately will require a presence in the office) is a world leader in providing software solutions into Financial Services markets. The company is a well established leader in the area of specific FinTech provision; their product and service has taken off over the past number of years within a market with high spend on software and specifically around security.

The role is to work with the existing global DevOps team to ensure ongoing automation, build, release and monitoring improvements. This role will suit an experienced AWS DevOps engineer who is looking to increase the seniority of their role, joining a team of senior architects and security experts.

Candidates should have:

• At least ten years of post grad commercial experience
• AWS Certifications alongside 5+ years of Automation/Monitoring
• Strong CI/CD knowledge and additional monitoring for security a definite advantage
• Additional Public Cloud experience, GCP and or Oracle Cloud will also be beneficial

My client currently has a requirement for a Software Engineer in Test to join their growing team based in Limerick.

Responsibilities

• Design and build software that drives automated tests and ensures code coverage
• Focus on frameworks (both in-house and external) to enhance test automation
• Work on testing strategy and efficiency
• Continuous Integration of tests into the development process
• Work with product engineering to integrate new features into test frameworks
• Design, build and enhance software test frameworks

Experience

IT Systems Engineer, Limerick.

Job description:

 You will be working as part of a global IT team. As a Systems Engineer you'll be responsible for the planning and execution of projects that will support business growth, improve security, or open up new capabilities. You will be working with the IT Security and Engineering teams to maintain and execute a roadmap for upcoming quarters and you will assist with the build out of a technology platform that’s flexible, scalable, secure, and predictive. You will assist in planning and completing migrations of on-premise resources to their SAAS/PAAS/IAAS equivalents and you will rollout best practices for automation of server deployment and management. You will be involved in supervising the IT Helpdesk function, sitting in the escalation path for any critical incidents.

Candidate profile:

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills;
• Strong team working skills;
• 3 - 7+ years of relevant IT server/network administration role;
• Strong skills in Active Directory, experience managing hundreds of users and multiple sites;
