This is a key support role within the finance team, and the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the accounts payable function. Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant (Maternity Cover) Location: Roscrea, Co. Tipperary Sector: Agri / Agriculture Contract Type: Maternity cover - Fixed-Term Contract (6-7 months) Working Hours: Flexible - 25 to 40 hours per week (to suit candidate availability) <hr class=""/><h3 class="">Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li class=""> Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner </li><li class=""> Match, batch, and code invoices in accordance with company procedures </li><li class=""> Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies </li><li class=""> Prepare payment runs and liaise with suppliers regarding payment queries </li><li class=""> Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is filed correctly </li><li class=""> Liaise with internal departments to resolve invoice or PO issues </li><li class=""> Assist with month-end processes and reporting as required </li><li class=""> Support the finance team with ad-hoc duties as necessary </li></ul><hr class=""/><h3 class="">Key Requirements:</h3><ul><li class=""> Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role </li><li class=""> Strong attention to detail and accuracy </li><li class=""> Good communication and interpersonal skills </li><li class=""> Ability to work independently and as part of a team </li><li class=""> Proficiency in Microsoft Office </li><li class=""> Experience with accounting software packages (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar) is desirable </li><li class=""> Previous experience in an agri or manufacturing environment would be an advantage but is not essential </li></ul><hr class=""/><h3 class="">Terms & Benefits:</h3><ul><li class=""> Contract Length: 6 to 7 months (maternity cover) </li><li class=""> Hours: Part-time (25 hours) or full-time (up to 40 hours) - flexible based on candidate </li><li class=""> On-site role - office-based in Roscrea </li><li class=""> Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience </li><li class=""> Supportive team environment with full training and handover provided </li></ul><hr class=""/> How to Apply: Please submit your CV outlining your relevant experience and availability.
