<img height="1" src="https://counter.adcourier.com/Q0xhd2xlci4wMTc4Ny40NzlAZnJzLmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif" width="1"/> A well-established Logistics company operating nationally and internationally is seeking a Company Accountant to manage financial operations, ensure compliance, and support administrative functions. <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li> Generate invoices and manage pricing within the Transport Management System (TMS) </li><li> Handle postings, reconciliations, and statutory returns (VAT, VIES, payroll) </li><li> Process weekly payroll and prepare month-end reports </li><li> Oversee year-end accounts, European VAT reclaim, and diesel rebate </li><li> Manage fleet compliance, insurance policies, and fixed asset registers </li><li> Develop budgets, forecasts, and KPI reports </li><li> Conduct internal audits and lead finance/customs projects </li><li> Liaise with customers and authorities on customs matters </li><li> Complete import/export customs declarations and manage compliance </li><li> Oversee office operations, process improvements, and health & safety policies </li></ul><h3>Skills & Experience</h3> Essential: <ul><li> Degree / Part-Qualified Accountant / Qualified by Experience </li><li> 5+ years in accounts with strong IT and organisational skills </li><li> Interest in customs compliance </li></ul> Desirable: <ul><li> Experience with Sage Accounts/Payroll </li><li> Knowledge of customs procedures and the transport industry </li><li> Process improvement experience </li></ul><h3>Competencies</h3><ul><li> Strong financial acumen and attention to detail </li><li> Proactive, independent, and customer-focused </li><li> Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills </li><li> Commitment to continuous improvement </li></ul> This is a great opportunity to join a successful company with further growth plans.
