Kerry Position: Full Time, Permanent Salary: €65k + On behalf of our clients, who are based in Killarney, we are seeking an experienced Head of Finance person. Our clients provide lending and credit services to customers nationwide. The Head of Finance plays a key role in the management and oversight of the company's financial operations. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Supervise and mentor finance team members, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.</li><li>Full responsibility for the group companies' budget and financial reporting,</li><li>Oversee/mange the debt-capital funding lines.</li><li>Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and optimise financial performance.</li><li>Coordinate and manage external audits, liaise with auditors, and address audit findings.</li><li>Preparation of internal management accounts, loan portfolio reports and board updates</li><li>Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.</li><li>Evaluate and implement technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and financial reporting.</li><li>Leading the assessment of business development opportunities within the firm</li><li>Liaising as required with key stakeholders both internally and externally,</li><li>Assist senior management in developing financial plans and strategies to achieve organisational goals and objectives.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Candidates must be a qualified accountant with 6 years' relevant post qualification experience.</li><li>Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards</li><li>Ability to produce insightful reports and disseminate key information to support decision making,</li><li>Track record in delivering to deadlines and driving continuous improvement while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills.</li><li>Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide a team.</li><li>Experienced using various systems, excel and other applications.</li></ul> Salary will be in line with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate could be a part-qualified Accountant or newly qualified Accountant with 2 to 3 years' experience. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a key part of the management team. Duties will include: <ul><li>Preparation of monthly accounts, managing company finances, preparation of cashflows, budgets and forecasts.</li><li>Responsible for all ledgers, ensuring on time payments and collections,</li><li>Ensuring timely completion and filing of all returns required by Revenue, CSO, etc.</li><li>Maintenance of fixed asset register</li><li>Supervising weekly payroll, knowledge of payroll and time recording systems and legislation would be an advantage.</li><li>Monitoring and reporting on production efficiencies and stock management.</li><li>Leading role in cost control in all departments and with suppliers, identify potential savings and implementing same.</li><li>Preparation of price proposals for new products.</li><li>Reviewing and agreeing supplier and customer contracts.</li><li>Assisting with the implementation of ERP and information systems that will meet the companys requirements and the needs of various departments.</li><li>Monitoring and reporting KPIs to Management and other departments and preparation of ad hoc reports</li></ul> Candidate requirements: <ul><li>Qualified or part -qualified Accountant</li><li>Strong analytical and financial skills</li><li>Good IT skills and proficient in Excel</li><li>Proactive attitude to implementing solutions and problem solving.</li><li>Ability to work in fast paced environment.</li></ul> This is a full-time on-site permanent role.
