This is a full-time permanent role where you will be working with some progressive beef and dairy customers with large feedlots in the Cavan / Monaghan area and into Northern Ireland. Our client has been supporting the farming community for over 25 years with their comprehensive range of high-quality feed and supplements. Their key to success has been the strong business relationships they have made with dairy, beef & pig farmers in supporting animal health & farm profitability. We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have previous experience in a Ruminant Nutritionist role with the ability to advise on diet formulation , forage and grassland management. Responsibilities <ol><li>Full responsibility for business development and profitability for our animal feed product lines delivered through our existing customers and prospecting for new customers. These include</li><li><ol><li>Moist feeds</li><li>Liquid's feed blends.</li><li>Minerals/Performance Products plus a range of forage seeds</li><li>Other innovative feed solutions currently under development.</li></ol></li><li>Deliver product portfolio, turnover and profit growth.</li><li>Ensure routine and timely credit control activities.</li><li>Manage relationships with key customers and expand customer base.</li><li>Maintain excellent knowledge of Irish animal feed sector including market trends, challenges, opportunities, impact of external/international factors on the Irish sector etc.</li><li>Ensure Group senior management are kept up to date on business performance, activities, prospects and challenges.</li><li>Develop an extensive network of contacts amongst customers, influencers and regulatory authorities. Ensure relevant customer contacts / communications are updated on CRM system. </li><li>Liaise with other team members (logistics, marketing, finance etc.)</li></ol> Qualifications <ul><li>A 3rd level Degree in Agriculture</li><li>A minimum of 3 to 5 years commercial experience </li><li>Proven experience in a Ruminant Nutrition role.</li><li>The ability to work as part of a team.</li></ul> Remuneration package Attractive salary & bonus Company car & pension To apply Please email your cv through the attached link Phone calls in confidence to John Miller on 087 9955439
