Working as part of a busy finance team and reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will have the following responsibilities: <ul><li>Oversee the accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments.</li><li>Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring all accounts payable transactions are accurately recorded.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and address vendor inquiries in a timely manner.</li><li>Prepare and perform periodic payment runs.</li><li>Monitor and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies and maintaining positive vendor relationships.</li><li>Process invoices accurately and efficiently, matching them with purchase orders and verifying approvals.</li><li>Assist in the implementation and utilization of accounts payable software and systems.</li><li>Streamline accounts payable workflow's by implementing automation and efficiency improvements.</li><li>Lead and mentor accounts payable staff, providing training and support to foster professional development.</li><li>Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.</li></ul> Skills & Attributes: <ul><li>Proven experience (3+ years) in senior accounts payable or a similar role.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with automated accounts payable solutions is desirable. (Intact IQ &/or EI Trax a distinct advantage)</li><li>Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment</li><li>Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy</li><li>Strong organisational and multitasking abilities</li><li>Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Team player, positive and flexible attitude</li><li>Continuous improvement mindset</li></ul> This role is full time and permanent and you will be based on site. Normal working day is 8.30 - 5pm Monday to Friday. There is some flexibility for the right person.
