The Position:

We are seeking an operationally focused Senior Financial Analyst to join our HID Global Finance team. This role will serve as key finance support for our Extended Access Technologies (EAT) Global Business Area. This business is poised for rapid global growth - organically and inorganically. You will be involved in providing financial support for global acquisitions and financial analysis for global business drivers.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Acts as business partner to the EAT leadership team and other key stakeholders
  • Provides financial insight to the business in assessing risk and opportunities to achieving its financial commitments.  This includes establishing insightful analytics and reporting that enable the business to "see around corners" or better anticipate the future
  • Designs and implements financial processes that deliver consistent and predictable results that link operational performance to the P&L
  • Actively engages and supports the EAT Finance Leader to meet deliverables during various financial cycles including Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Budget, Forecast cycles and other ad hoc requests
  • Proactively collaborates across multifunctional teams to create an environment that strives for global consistency of best practices identified both internally and externally to the organization
  • Works closely with other members of the HID Global Finance team to ensure financial impacts of business decisions are understood, aligned and communicated - examples include Global Financial Planning & Analysis, Global Cost Accounting, Global Operations & Business Excellence and Global Shared Services
  • Provide financial support and analysis to the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Business Unit
  • Assist with the integration of new acquisitions

 

What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will be  a  strong team player who thrives in working both cross functionally and globally with 5 + years  gained in international/multinational environments.

Educated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent, MBA or CPA preferred. Highly proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint) with a solid understanding of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). Demonstrated ability to work with ERP systems & standard BI tools - Oracle a plus

This person will be naturally curious and inquisitive with the ability to breakdown complex issues and translate data into actionable information. You will be energetic and analytical with a positive approach to problem solving.

A proven track record of setting priorities, managing expectations and delivering on commitments along with strong presentation skills including previous experience presenting to senior executives.

The successful candidate will have an aptitude for adapting and performing in a constantly changing environment.

What will aFinance Analyst do?

  • Collaborate closely with global process managers to identify and catalogue existing customer interaction types and respective entry points, documenting workflows, identifying gaps and proposing improvements
  • Drive end-to-end process design and implementation of new engagement model and new customer interaction types
  • Create business case and business requirements documents
  • Provide regular updates on project milestones and progress, clearly communicating status, risks and remediation plan to executive stakeholders
  • Define and monitor key metrics in order to measure business impact of new engagement model
  • Design, build and test contact forms for each customer interaction type
  • Work closely with system admin and engineering teams to implement, test and automate mapping and routing of contact forms
  • Create manuals and training materials

What does the Ideal Candidate look like?
  • 3-4 years relevant work experience with an emphasis in quantitative analysis and systems
  • Experience with databases, proficiency in SQL, advanced spreadsheet skills (Google/Excel) and data analysis skills

Overall Job Purpose


To complement the existing skillset within the team by means of contributing product knowledge grounded in practical business experience. The Auditor will play an active role in the CIB, UK & ME Regions Hub, performing risk-based audit reviews and recommending solutions to identified issues and weaknesses.



Key Responsibilities


Main tasks are to be performed in line with professional standards of the IIA and Group internal guidelines, and comprise the following:

  1. Leading audit assignments:
  • Conduct the various phases (Preparation / Evaluation / Investigation / Restitution / Report) within the requested deadlines and formalize them through the appropriate templates.
  • Discuss the Findings and recommendations with the Senior Management of the audited entities Senior Manaement
  • Manage the team of auditors and ensure that the audit works are provided as per the methodologies and backed with sufficient evidence.
  • Suggest the assignment global rating.
  • Prepare the End of Assignment appraisals for the team of auditors.

2. Participation in audit assignments as a member of an audit team with responsibilities to include:

  • Ensuring the timely performance of his or her parts of the assignment whilst having regard for the main risks detailed in the Control Matrix.
  • Ensuring that the Head of Assignment is kept updated with the progress of the assignment on a continuous basis.
  • Preparation of summaries and conclusions to the phases of the assignment under his or her responsibility for review and approval by the Head of Assignment and lead the presentation of these to the relevant auditees.
  • Input of all missions and associated documentation to the required hub and IG standard into the Hub audit drive and the finding/recommendation logging tool; UNIK.

3. Risk assessment:

  • Assist in the performance of the Risk Assessment process.

4. Perform or participate in ad-hoc projects and investigations including Quality Assurance Reviews, Regulatory assignments and follow up of IG missions; non-lead role in detailed investigation of incidents (Special Assignment status).


5. Interaction with the management and staff of activities under their responsibility:

  • Monitor the progress made by the persons responsible for the closure of recommendations
  • Validate the closing of recommendations as specified in the appropriate procedures.

There may also be opportunities to participate in other reviews within the Paris CIB, UK & ME Regionrsquo;s scope outside the core business line coverage, ad-hoc investigations including Quality Assurance Reviews at other geographical locations, Regulatory assignments and non-lead roles in detailed investigations/Special Assignments.

Essential Experience:

  • Product knowledge related to 1 or more of the businesses this role supports
  • Past experience from an audit or consultancy department covering e.g. organisation, quality assurance, project management, risk management or operational risk is an advantage.

Qualification, Experience & Competencies:

  • Degree level qualification
  • A recognized audit/accountancy qualification would be advantageous.

With just under 300 employees when fully open, they are now looking for Senior Accountant/Finance Manager to join on an initial 3-month contract.
Your new role
Due to some recent changes in the team, you will take on this interim role and have full responsibilities for the finance function, including,
  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts - P/L, Balance sheets
  • Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Oversee the AP/AR and Payroll function
  • Management of Revenue and Expenses for all operational departments
  • Coordination of the Audit process
  • Make any recommendations on strategy, highlighting key issues and opportunities

What you'll need to succeed
  • You will be a Qualified Accountant
  • You will have Hotel industry experience
  • You will have strong IT skills - including previous experience with Sun, Sage and Opera
  • Experience with TMS and Micropay would be a plus.
  • You will need to be able to work autonomously and manage the whole finance function.
  • You will be a confident communicator to be able to business partner with both internal/external stakeholders
  • Must be immediately available
You must be happy to work in their office, this role will not be based remotely from home, however there will be flexible working hours.

  • Works closely with other members of the HID Global Finance team to ensure financial impacts of business decisions are understood, aligned and communicated - examples include Global Financial Planning & Analysis, Global Cost Accounting, Global Operations & Business Excellence and Global Shared Services
  • Provide financial support and analysis to the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Business Unit
  • Assist with the integration of new acquisitions

 

What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will be  a  strong team player who thrives in working both cross functionally and globally with 5 + years  gained in international/multinational environments.

Educated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent, MBA or CPA preferred. Highly proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint) with a solid understanding of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). Demonstrated ability to work with ERP systems & standard BI tools - Oracle a plus

This person will be naturally curious and inquisitive with the ability to breakdown complex issues and translate data into actionable information. You will be energetic and analytical with a positive approach to problem solving.

A proven track record of setting priorities, managing expectations and delivering on commitments along with strong presentation skills including previous experience presenting to senior executives.

The successful candidate will have an aptitude for adapting and performing in a constantly changing environment.
