Role: Financial Accountant, Primark
Purpose of role: Management and Financial Reporting for 13 Countries in the Group
Reports to: Finance Manager

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Preparation of periodic financial and management accounts.

  • Support projects such as transition to Oracle Retail this may involve testing or covering period close activities if others in the team are completing testing

Education and Training
  • Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent)

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • 1+ years’ post qualification experience (preferably in a retail environment)
  • Experience in stock and intercompany accounting an advantage
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) - need to communicate to all levels within the business
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule and work within agreed timescales
  • Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to analyse and interrogate high volumes of data as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on higher level overview

A US company going through a lot of growth are looking to hire a Senior Financial Accountant for their team here in Dublin. You will play an integral part and be responsible for helping to build out the international accounting team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing processes and controls for the business through close collaboration with the accounting teams in the US.
  • Prepare and submit VAT and GST reporting globally with responsibility for reconciling balance sheet amounts.
  • Sign off on monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

 

The Candidate:

  • Qualified accountant with at least two of these years working in an international company.

Responsibilities
  • Involvement in the preparation and analysis of periodic financial and management accounts

  • Key contact for external and internal audit teams

  • Supporting International Projects in any market as required, e.g. Brexit, new market entry
  • Any other tasks and ad hoc projects as required by management.

What we are looking for:

Your new role
You will be responsible for preparing multiple sets of statutory accounts for each of the companies within the group. You will work closely with the auditors over the year end process.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidates is a newly qualified accountant who has a background working in a medium sized practice firm in which they were involved in financial statement preparation for a number of clients.
Experience with Caseware is a big plus and you must have strong technical knowledge on standards.
The client is looking for a self starter who can hit the ground running and work autonomously.

The role will be WFH for the 3 month period. You will receive a competitive salary of €50k per annum, as well as a small completion bonus after the 3 month period.
