What the role involves:
  • Treasury, Stock & Intercompany reporting and control across 14 countries and growing
  • Management role with responsibility for treasury, stock and intercompany related accounting activities across Primark
  • Responsible for completion and analysis of hedge accounting across the Group each period
  • Responsible for stock valuation and support for FM overseeing the stock valuation transition as part of Oracle R4
  • Preparation of currency spreads by entity resulting from IFRS 9 periodic movements
  • Responsible for intercompany reconciliations for treasury transactions each period
  • Process non-cash movements as required relating to treasury relationships
  • Manage intercompany process each period relating to treasury accounting function
  • Provide accurate and timely information to be included in period end reporting packs
  • Responsible for submission of treasury period end reporting pack as part of overall Group process
  • Preparation and analysis of financial year end notes for reporting packs
  • Review and challenge of periodic processes to identify opportunities to drive efficiencies through automation or revised processes
  • Key link with audit teams and other advisors
  • Involvement in technical financial accounting advice, researching the impact of accounting policy decisions on the business and advising of relevant changes.
  • Leading and management of direct reports

What we're looking for:
  • Qualified accountant (essential)
  • A strong understanding of key treasury controls, accounting issues, systems and policies applicable to a large international organisation
  • Stock valuation experience
  • At least five years of financial control experience in a corporate treasury environment, preferably with exposure to derivatives, hedge accounting and other financial instruments
  • Good general IFRS knowledge, with particular emphasis on IAS 39 and IFRS 9
  • Strong computer literacy
  • High energy and enthusiasm
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player able to work across treasury, finance and the business units
  • Strong relationship builder:
  • Leadership – a strong ability to work without direct daily supervision and provide leadership to direct reports, peers and supervisors
  • Able to work in a flexible manner to meet changing priorities

Our client is an Irish owned software company with offices based in Dublin 15. This company continue to grow and expand their dynamic team and are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join them on a 12 month FTC.

What will a Finance Manager do?
  • Perform timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end activities, including month-end close activities for cash, prepaid, tangible and intangible assets, accruals and debt
  • Review monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure compliance
  • Support annual tax compliance and or statutory reporting, if applicable
  • Annual audit management
  • Manage the treasury process, including cash flow forecast
  • Support local teams worldwide in day-to-day activities and month-end work
  • Support and develop your team
  • Aid in range of projects relating to grants, funding and acquisitions, to support consistent growth

What does the Ideal Candidate look like?
  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance or Accounting
  • An Accounting qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA
  • Minimum of 7 years of PQE experience
  • Proficiency in NetSuite would be an advantage

Finance Manager- 12 months with view to permanency- Dublin 22

Leading company based in south west Dublin are looking to hire a Senior Accountant/Finance Manager with revenue exposure. This role will also have two direct reports. 

Main duties:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Implement cash flow reporting and forecasting together with providing the necessary financial information to support operational management.
  • Revenue recognition.
  • Preparation of the monthly revenue and gross margin reports and analysis.
  • Support the external audit and tax compliance for including VAT returns and customs reporting.
  • Control and reconciliation of the Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Assisting with monthly reports on KPIs
  • Ensure revenue is recognised within IFRS guidelines and ensure that relevant controls, documentation, and sign offs are in place.
  • Development of the annual budget and ad-hoc forecasts as required.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant or finalist will also be considered.
  • Previous people management experience.
  • Revenue exposure would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems desirable.

 

Package:

55-60K+ pension

What we're looking for;
  • Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent) with 5+ years PQE
  • Big 4 background or a number of years industry experience preferred
  • Experience in sales and margin would be an advantage
  • 2+ years managing a team
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) - need to communicate to all levels within the business
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule and work within agreed timescales
  • Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to analyse and interrogate high volumes of data as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on higher level overview
