Summary:
My client is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Evening Shift Manufacturing Technician to join their team in Galway. The candidate will be part of core team to respond to equipment, yield and process related issues and implement corrective and preventative actions to eliminate repeat instances. This is an evening shift positions with working hours from 4.30pm to 11.30pm.
Responsibilities:

• Work with Manufacturing Engineers in developing, trouble shooting, standardising and improving existing production methods and procedures.
• Work on Electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming and electronic hardware interfacing.
• Maintain a critical spares inventory for key maintenance items to minimise downtime.
• Assist ME’s in investigating and implementing new production methods.
• Assist ME’s in design methods, part sourcing and documentation.
• Perform equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing, etc.
• Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment, changes and improvements.
• Interface with a variety of personnel and with outside vendors when necessary while performing the above.
• Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures with an assigned process or area.
• Communicate any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their Manager.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• HETAC Level 6 qualification or Senior Trades in a relevant area with a minimum of two years relevant experience.
• Good technical capabilities, communication skills, teamwork abilities and initiative.
• Experience of Automated Processes a requirement.
• Electrical background would be highly desirable.
• Strong problem solving / troubleshooting background.
• Proven ability to work well both as part of a team but also able to work on own with minimum supervision.

The successful candidate will be required to repair and service Vehicles within the Service department. You will be required to deliver a high standard within the workshop in line with specifications set out by manufacturer and processes set out by the company/my client.

• FETAC or City & Guilds Qualification
• Experience in vehicle services and repairs

• Diagnosis, repairs and servicing of Mercedes-Benz vehicles to the highest standards and to the appropriate manufacturer specification
• Through the use of diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified
• Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them
• Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDI’s, service reports) in line with ISO, warranty and Dealership requirements

• Experience in the water/wastewater industry
• Understanding of the water/wastewater industry and instrumentation
• Experience of commissioning analytical telemetry equipment
• Experienced in chemical treatment i.e., Chlorine, Ferric and monitoring Chlorine, Ph, Turbidity etc
• Understanding of flow meters and general principles of operation
• Experience with Radio systems and/or Data Loggers

• Monitor production levels and drive continuous improvement projects onsite
• Create & Update all manufacturing, quality and equipment documentation
• In conjunction with the team, support validation of processes, protocols throughout the site
• Consistently drive continuous improvement and procedure adherence for production
• Lead investigations related to Quality System related issues to ensure a thorough root cause, containment / corrective and preventive action is implemented.
• Knowledge of and experience in setting up and maintaining an effective QMS.
• Ensure all process and equipment are ready and calibrated
