Our client has a requirement for a contract Data Analyst to work with their Marketing and Sales functions to provide reporting and insight into data to contribute to decision making. This will be circa 20 hours per week.

Key Role Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:

JOB SUMMARY: The Business Data Analyst, assigned to a specific client, is responsible for the process of inspecting, cleaning, validating, transforming and modeling data with the goal of discovering useful information, suggesting conclusions and supporting decision making focused on growth. The Analyst is responsible for monitoring all-source of data information to proactively identify risks and threats that could impact the company's people, assets and reputation.

The Essential Functions Include:
  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Create and present metric reports for the designated region and/or function.
  3. Conduct data analysis to examine data sets to draw conclusions about the information contained therein.
  4. Ensure data integrity and reliability by implementing processes that produces consistent results.
  5. Perform periodic data reviews, gap analysis and formulate process improvement plans.
  6. Lead and support data driven projects including;
    1. Data entry.
    2. Database case management audits.
    3. Data and gap analysis.
    4. Database query configuration.
  7. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  8. Provide business data analysis and identify technical solutions to challenges that impact the business.
  9. Handle approved requests for data audits, metrics and report generation.
  10. Manage and oversee BI Dashboard activities, projects, requests and tasks and escalate issues as needed.
  11. Draft data queries, reports and metrics and obtain approvals prior to publishing.
  12. Provide support to the manager in overall database case management process, procedures and requirements.
  13. Utilize structured analytic techniques to develop tailored data products.
  14. Gather and analyze data to facilitate improvement in the methodologies, tools and techniques to enable the team to scale and optimize operations to mitigate potential risk.
  15. All other duties, as assigned. 

 

Minimum Hiring Standards

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

  • Must have Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process including drug testing and background investigation.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., email, mobile phone).
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the legal right to work in the Ireland.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.

 

Education/Experience


Bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in visual design, SQL or other data analytics programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
