Join my West Cork based client and take charge of maintenance, efficiency, and safety in their busy food production plant! Your Role: You'll be on the front line of equipment maintenance - ensuring minimal downtime, optimising performance, and keeping everything in top shape. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a busy, cooperative environment! What You'll Do: <ul><li>Develop & manage a preventative maintenance program to keep downtime to a minimum </li><li>Inspect, troubleshoot & repair equipment, from packaging lines to refrigeration units </li><li>Keep detailed records of maintenance, inspections & repairs </li><li>Work with external providers for specialised repairs & installations </li><li>Oversee contractors to ensure quality, safety & efficiency </li><li>Manage spare parts, tools & resources to keep operations running smoothly </li><li>Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining top reliability </li><li>Ensure all maintenance meets safety & food production standards </li><li>Support the production team with technical guidance & troubleshooting </li><li>Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance to keep things moving </li></ul> What You'll Bring: <ul><li> Relevant experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment </li><li> Experience in a BRC-certified food production facility (a plus!) </li><li> Knowledge of mechanical, electrical & refrigeration systems </li><li> Strong troubleshooting skills - you love solving problems! </li><li> Ability to coordinate external contractors & manage repairs </li><li> Solid IT skills (MS Office & maintenance management systems) </li><li> Understanding of safety & compliance standards in food production </li><li> A flexible, proactive, and results-driven mindset </li></ul> Ready to take on a hands-on role where YOU make a real impact?
