Due to our continued growth, our client is seeking to appoint a Senior Design Engineer to join and lead their in-house design team based at their Longford office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence and innovation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will be joining a multi site operation that is continuing to expand, and while this current job is a Senior Design Engineer, there is progression into management. Your duties will include: <ul><li>Programme Management: Create and manage design programmes in line with client contractual agreements.</li><li>Technical Leadership: Manage all technical aspects of the business, handling both internal and external queries.</li><li>Tender Collaboration: Work closely with the estimating team, contributing technical expertise and value engineering at the tender stage.</li><li>Manufacturing Coordination: Partner with the Production Manager to ensure manufacturing requirements are met and processes are optimized.</li><li>Client Relations: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts across Ireland.</li><li>Project Liaison: Collaborate with client design teams, external consultants, and site teams to address queries on live projects.</li></ul> Knowledge and experience required: <ul><li>Experience: 3/5 years design of Modular, timber frame, tier 1 contractor or from a large design company</li><li>Technical Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD </li><li>Drawing Development: Ability to develop detailed </li><li>Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to interpret architectural/engineering drawings.</li><li>Personal Attributes:</li><li>Dependable and flexible</li><li>Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and results-driven</li><li>Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail</li><li>People management team leadership skills</li></ul> What is on offer: A leadership role with an opportunity to shape the in-house design operations and progression into management.
