Eir Evo Talent has partnered with a client, we are looking for a Microsoft Defender Engineer to join their cybersecurity team on a contract basis. This hybrid role, based in Dublin, is ideal for a professional with deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, and Microsoft security ecosystems. You'll play a key role in strengthening our security posture and supporting ongoing threat detection, response, and prevention efforts. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Defender solutions (Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps, etc.)</li><li>Integrate Defender with Microsoft Sentinel and other SIEM/SOAR tools</li><li>Monitor and respond to security incidents using Defender capabilities</li><li>Tune policies, alerts, and detection rules to reduce false positives and improve response times</li><li>Collaborate with IT, security operations, and compliance teams to ensure secure configurations and alignment with best practices</li><li>Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive mitigations</li></ul>Requirements: <ul><li>5+ years in a similar role</li><li>Proven experience implementing and managing Microsoft Defender technologies in enterprise environments</li><li>Strong understanding of Windows security architecture and endpoint protection strategies</li><li>Experience with Microsoft 365 Defender suite and Microsoft Sentinel</li><li>Familiarity with incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management</li><li>Relevant certifications (e.g., SC-200, SC-300, MS-500) are a plus</li><li>Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders</li></ul> REF: EET7208 Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland or currently hold a Stamp 1G/4 Visa to apply.
