This role involves working closely with senior management to deliver high-quality VAT compliance and consulting services across various industries. <h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Manage a portfolio of indirect tax clients, including entities from diverse industries such as large corporations, semi-state organisations, and privately-owned companies.</li><li>Collaborate with senior management and partners to deliver high-end VAT advisory and consulting services.</li><li>Support the delivery of VAT function improvements and optimisation through technology solutions.</li><li>Provide timely and efficient advice, research, and solutions for VAT technical matters and advisory assignments.</li><li>Take full commercial responsibility for a portfolio of client work.</li><li>Collaborate with other business units to identify VAT opportunities for existing clients.</li><li>Correspond with tax authorities and third parties on behalf of clients.</li><li>Coach, mentor, and review the work of associate-level trainees, including delivering in-house VAT training.</li><li>Contribute to the development and growth of the tax practice.</li></ul><h3>About You</h3> The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: <ul><li>A minimum of 3+ years' experience in Irish VAT compliance and advisory assignments.</li><li>Experience in VAT for property transactions, Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT), due diligence projects, and cross-border transactions is advantageous.</li><li>Background in a professional services firm (Big 4/Top 10) is desirable but not essential.</li><li>Strong academic record with a degree in accounting, economics, finance, law, or a relevant field.</li><li>Partially or fully qualified AITI/CTA or equivalent qualification.</li><li>Proven ability to manage and drive the success of multiple client engagements.</li><li>Experience in managing client relations across multiple jurisdictions.</li></ul> To obtain a full job description and to discuss the opportunity in more detail, please do get in touch.
