Due to continued expansion of our operations, we are seeking applications from a suitably qualified and experienced Manufacturing CAD Technician II - Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Engineering in developing, trouble shooting, standardising and improving existing production equipment, fixtures and hardware designs.
- Creates and modifies detailed CAD models (2D & 3D) from sketches, models, layouts or notes.
- Checks drawings versus the project inputs for correctness and conformance to standards.
- Works with Designers/Engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and print package documentation.
- Creates 2d working drawings of product components
- Liaises with third party tooling manufacturers on drawing queries, tolerance stack-ups and updating approved drawings
- Creates prototypes on Solid Works to develop concepts and design improvements
Qualifications:
- Requires minimum HETAC level 6 in Technical, Science or Engineering discipline or Senior Trades Qualification
- A strong knowledge of design for manufacture (DFM) essential
- 3+ years’ experience in a modern design environment with previous experience in some of the following: Solid works SME, 3D printing
- Proven experience in tooling design including computer aided tooling / fixture design, build and implementation
- Knowledge in the area of moulding design
- Ability to work on own with minimum supervision
- Good interpersonal and communication skills

Project Description:
Nicholas O'Dwyer are expanding and seeking ambitious Revit Technician / Engineer, to work within our Structural Department at our head office in Dublin. We have a broad spectrum of projects both in Ireland and Internationally and can offer the successful candidate a clear path for career development in one of Ireland’s largest indigenous consultancies.
Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate would be working as part of a team in the areas of:
- Surveys and collection of project data
- Design within high level of competence
- Preparation of drawings of site development works, structural steel detailing, reinforced concrete, structural layouts, sections, etc.
- Design, data collection and duties delegated by the SPE on a progressive basis
Key Requirements:
- Ideally the successful candidate will have a minimum of 5years’ experience, but less experience would also be considered for exceptional candidates
- Ability to work as part of a team and achieve tight deadlines and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge /experience of construction techniques and building regulations
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience in GA drawings and RC Detailing.
- Ideally will have experience on structural elements on Projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working on Frameworks with Utility Companies would be desirable
- Certificate or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering
