What will you do

How you will do it 

  • Capacity to understand and decipher key messages on our organizational strategy and communicate them in a simple, engaging and user-friendly way
  • To assist in the research, writing, proofing and editing of internal news content for company channels
  • To assist in the script writing and filming of occasional video and podcasts.
  • To support and help drive the internal digital strategy for use of podcasts, social engagement tools and video content across the organization.
  • To assist and provide support on creative needs for the internal communications team, adhering to brand positioning and corporate style guidelines.
  • Identify, research, and present on opportunities for the Communications team, including but not limited to, strategic business partners and service providers to build a strategy to communicate corporate goals to all audiences. 
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic communication plans to support change management programs across Johnson Controls.
  • Work cross-functionally, across geographies to help develop communication best practices and promote adaption and consistency across the global communications team.
  • Proactively manage relationships with stakeholders during all phases of a communications campaign to ensure clarity, consistency and collaboration with business units.
  • Manage projects and relationships with agencies, vendors and contractors.
  • Continuously develop your knowledge of communications best practices and support the on-going improvement of internal communications activities

Position Overview

The Performance Marketing & Growth Executive will be a key part of the team, whose duties will include engaging directly with clients to gather their marketing needs, undertaking PPC & SEO duties, & the management of social media ad accounts and associated campaigns.

Overall Objective

  • Implementing on site SEO improvements to meet Google's best practice guidelines.

  • Creating website content with the goal of improving SEO, including all front-end SEO activities (meta descriptions, titles, alt tags, etc.).

 PPC

  • Setup of ad accounts across various platforms.

Social Media Marketing 

  • Set up of ad accounts and similar assets on platforms such as Facebook 

  • Responsible for multiple social media ad accounts including; ad creation, tracking, and analysis.

  • Responsible for ongoing planning, development, and implementation of agency client social media strategies.

  • Create and manage multiple content calendars for agency clients 

  • Prepare and comment on monthly reports for data analytics and campaign analysis.

He or she will interface with senior functional leaders and key customers within the businesses including Sales, Sourcing/Procurement, Architecture, Finance, Marketing, PMO and Digital Delivery. He or she will be responsible for the creation/tracking of project plans and milestones while managing scope, quality, time and costs requirements efficiently.

  • 10+ years’ experience in successfully delivering software applications projects
  • 10 + years’ experience managing large multidisciplinary projects with multiple teams both collocated and remotely
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working within a PMO environment, delivering through both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Ideally a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or project management field from an accredited 4 year university
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, coupled with excellent time management skills
  • Experience and comfortable in working in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent command of English language
  • Strong Leadership skills and ability to influence and lead in driving projects to delivery

Preferred:

Your New Role
As Project Manager you will be a key member of the global Professional Services organization and have responsibility for the project management and completion of a range of technically complex customer projects with significant business impact.
The projects led by this position can be across the full range of our client base including Life Sciences, Chemical, Energy, Manufacturing and Materials industries. The projects are typically multi-month, cross departmental, and involve one or more technologies, possibly involve other vendors and one or multiple countries. As such, the position holder will need to be highly organized, possess exceptional interpersonal skills and be an excellent communicator, able to communicate effectively to various levels within DS and also within the customer organization up to and including VP level.
To be successful you will need to oversee and motivate teams of inter-disciplinary staff within a matrix organization and work independently with a focus on the day-to-day tasks of your projects.

Your Challenges Ahead

  • Develops, plans and manages implementation of technically complex and challenging customer projects across disparate organisations in line with the DS ‘PERFORM’ Services Project Methodology.
  • Oversees the lifecycle of projects resolving complex technical and business problems. Solutions involve proof of concept or industry first projects and encompass all aspects of the project, e.g. business processes, requirements clarification, technical implementation, quality management, deployment and training.
  • Ensures project is compliant with relevant standards, regulatory requirement and contractual agreements. Suggest and coordinate system and process improvements.
  • Ensures BIOVIA’ interests are addressed by working closely with Professional Services Leadership, Legal, Sales, Operations and other support organisations ensuring overall success of the project(s).
  • Prepares and presents internal executive briefings, including recommendations for executive action.
  • Management of project expenditures, both labour and expense and partnering with finance to ensure timely and accurate service invoicing for projects.
  • Assists in the creation of proposals and estimates for Professional Service projects from project extensions with existing customers to working on new proposals with Sales, Presales and Solutions Architects.

Your Key Success Factors

  • Fluent written and spoken English is required. French and/or German would be an advantage.
  • Qualified to degree level or similar, Project Management Certification such as PMP or PRINCE2, beneficial.  
  • A track record of the successful management and delivery of complex projects in a software environment and preferably in the Life Sciences industry.
  • A strong commercial understanding combined with project management expertise working within a consulting organisation.

Reporting overall to the Associate Director of Communications, and in the day-to-day role supporting the Senior Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting and creating effective, engaging communications content and channels for over 23,000 employees across 90+ countries in our Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Latin America (EMEALA) region.

This role is imperative to driving understanding and engagement into our organizational strategy, mission and values, raising awareness about employee news and activities across the EMEALA region, and driving awareness and understanding of our organizational health initiatives and best practise to improve our organization’s health and performance.
