Our client based in Limerick (open to remote working within Ireland at present, but ultimately will require a presence in the office) is a world leader in providing software solutions into Financial Services markets. The company is a well established leader in the area of specific FinTech provision; their product and service has taken off over the past number of years within a market with high spend on software and specifically around security.

The role is to work with the existing global DevOps team to ensure ongoing automation, build, release and monitoring improvements. This role will suit an experienced AWS DevOps engineer who is looking to increase the seniority of their role, joining a team of senior architects and security experts.

Candidates should have:

• At least ten years of post grad commercial experience
• AWS Certifications alongside 5+ years of Automation/Monitoring
• Strong CI/CD knowledge and additional monitoring for security a definite advantage
• Additional Public Cloud experience, GCP and or Oracle Cloud will also be beneficial
• Exceptional communication skills, presenting to non technical audiences
• Experience across Linux/Windows and Virtualisation platforms welcome

The role is to join an existing global team headquartered here as a Senior team member, mentoring more junior staff but bringing significant expertise to the R&D team in the areas of designing, testing and implementing embedded processes at all levels of the architecture. In your role you will be a part of the team that brings new products from concept through to high volume manufacturing environment delivery. You will be responsible for hardware architecture and board level design of new products, and your role will include the component engineering activities that are vital to ensuring a secure supply chain through the life of the products.

Candidate profile:

Candidates applying for the role should have an honours degree, or post graduate qualification, in Electronic Engineering and have around five years of experience in hardware/electronic/embedded engineering. You should have experience of low-power circuit design, analogue, mixed-signal (board-level) and digital circuit design and embedded systems. You should have some experience of sourcing, evaluating & selecting components for new & established designs.

Desirable skills include:

• Communications protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB.
• Familiarity with RF technology (antenna design, impedance matching, performance tuning of RF circuits, RF technologies such as Zigbee, Zwave, WIFI, BlueTooth) 
• Leading and driving design development from schematic capture, PCB layout through assembly, and test house validation.
