DESIGN ENGINEER (DSP Architecture):


Based in our Engineering Centre in Dublin, Ireland, we are recruiting an outstanding engineer with a passion for heterogeneous multicore architectures and digital signal processing (DSP) applications to lead the definition, specification and development of Xilinx next-generation architectures.



You will join a team whose architecture and systems activities cover a wide range of disciplines including ML for data center (HPC) and embedded computing (e.g., automotive ADAS) applications; emerging memory technologies; on-chip interconnects; specification, modelling and analysis of modern heterogeneous multicore architectures.



Responsibilities:

  • Work with Xilinx product teams to develop multi-core architectures and provide compilers for the efficient programming of the new architecture
  • Apply strong software engineering skills to create frameworks and methods for the functional/performance validation of the new architecture for the key DSP applications
  • Provide results/reports that drive the development of the new architecture
  • Technically interact with Xilinx-internal engineering teams and Xilinx customers to enable the efficient programming of the new architecture on micro level and system level

Requirements:

  • MS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Strong background in modern microarchitectures
  • Strong C/C++ programming experience and scripting skills
  • High level understanding of digital signal processing algorithms
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Beneficial would be domain background in one or more of the following areas:

  • Good understanding of on-chip interconnect architectures and memory hierarchy in heterogeneous architectures
  • Programming modern parallel architectures
  • High level understanding of AI/ML and other DSP algorithms

Your new role
In your new roles a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for development and analysis, spring planning, liaising with the business team, and code review. You will work as part of the API Gateway Development Team, where you will design fault-tolerant architecture and source control systems.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in your role as Technical Lead, you will have strong experience in Java (other programming languages a bonus), Spring, SpringBoot, Linux/Solaris/Windows OS, relational databases and web technologies (REST/JSON). Furthermore, you will be proficient with REST API's, and have some security knowledge, OAuth 2. Kafka, microservices development and experience with non-relational databases would be desirable also.

DESIGN ENGINEER (DSP Architecture):


Based in our Engineering Centre in Dublin, Ireland, we are recruiting an outstanding engineer with a passion for heterogeneous multicore architectures and digital signal processing (DSP) applications to lead the definition, specification and development of Xilinx next-generation architectures.



You will join a team whose architecture and systems activities cover a wide range of disciplines including ML for data center (HPC) and embedded computing (e.g., automotive ADAS) applications; emerging memory technologies; on-chip interconnects; specification, modelling and analysis of modern heterogeneous multicore architectures.



Responsibilities:

  • Work with Xilinx product teams to develop multi-core architectures and provide compilers for the efficient programming of the new architecture
  • Apply strong software engineering skills to create frameworks and methods for the functional/performance validation of the new architecture for the key DSP applications
  • Provide results/reports that drive the development of the new architecture
  • Technically interact with Xilinx-internal engineering teams and Xilinx customers to enable the efficient programming of the new architecture on micro level and system level

Requirements:

  • MS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Strong background in modern microarchitectures
  • Strong C/C++ programming experience and scripting skills
  • High level understanding of digital signal processing algorithms
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Beneficial would be domain background in one or more of the following areas:

  • Good understanding of on-chip interconnect architectures and memory hierarchy in heterogeneous architectures
  • Programming modern parallel architectures
  • High level understanding of AI/ML and other DSP algorithms
  • Architecture performance estimation
  • Flexibility, interest in technology, eagerness to learn and a good attitude towards work
