You will be managing and maintaining a range of Oracle and SQL database environments both on premise and in AZURE cloud infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS

Based in our Engineering Centre in Dublin, Ireland, we are recruiting an outstanding engineer with a passion for heterogeneous multicore architectures and digital signal processing (DSP) applications to lead the definition, specification and development of Xilinx next-generation architectures.



You will join a team whose architecture and systems activities cover a wide range of disciplines including ML for data center (HPC) and embedded computing (e.g., automotive ADAS) applications; emerging memory technologies; on-chip interconnects; specification, modelling and analysis of modern heterogeneous multicore architectures.



Responsibilities:

  • Work with Xilinx product teams to develop multi-core architectures and provide compilers for the efficient programming of the new architecture
  • Apply strong software engineering skills to create frameworks and methods for the functional/performance validation of the new architecture for the key DSP applications
  • Provide results/reports that drive the development of the new architecture
  • Technically interact with Xilinx-internal engineering teams and Xilinx customers to enable the efficient programming of the new architecture on micro level and system level

Senior SQL Oracle DBA



75% SQL and 25% Oracle



Permanent role in Naas, co. Kildare



My client is looking for an experienced DBA for their growing successful office.



You will be managing and maintaining a range of Oracle and SQL database environments both on premise and in AZURE cloud infrastructure.



Responsibilities:



Administration of Oracle Database (11g/12c environment)
Data migrations in both SQL & Oracle
Report Writing / BI / SSRS /SSAS
Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages to facilitate loading of data into Data Warehouse (DWH) databases
Configure and maintain SQL Server 2012 in Development


REQUIREMENTS

· Extensive experience as an Enterprise Oracle Database Administrator

· Strong practical experience of ORACLE in a production RAC (ASM) environment (11g, 12c)

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree with knowledge of database concepts

· Demonstrated SQL and PL/SQL skills.

· Knowledge of Linux/UNIX architecture, OS commands and tools.

· Familiarity with Client/Server architecture and distributed processing.

· Knowledge of AWR, ADDM, SQL Tuning and SQL Access Advisors, V$ performance views and end-to-end Application Tracing.

​​​· Backups & recovery

​​​· Setting up and monitoring of standby databases

​​​· Database tuning and monitoring

​​​· Support for production databases

​​​· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

​​​· Ability to work quickly in fast-paced environment

​​​· The candidate will be capable of working independently and can prioritise work effectively



DESIRABLES

· Strong attention to detail

· Linux scripting experience

· Experience managing Enterprise SQL Server databases, and performing associated DBA functions

· Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and moving datasets from non-SQL server databases via DataMart

· Experience with Microsoft SSIS, SSRS and SSAS and maintaining associated Data Warehouse environments

· Experience with Microsoft Biztalk, CRM and Dynamics
