Role: ICT Security Architect
Purpose of role: This role is to join the Cyber Security team and lead/actively progress the ICT Security Strategy within Primark. This position will work across software and hardware teams to identify component and system level technical risks, identify and evaluate critical failure points, determine technical security controls to mitigate risks, prioritise and schedule controls with product development timelines, and work with cross functional teams to implement features according to product roadmaps.
The Security Architect will work with ICT and the business to develop the Strategic Security Architecture Roadmap, Work on projects to ensure they are delivered to the agreed architecture within Primark. A key responsibility will be to report costs to stakeholders and prepare/present cost-benefit analyses to support current and future development models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides architectural guidance and leadership on best practices regarding security in software development, user interface design frameworks, high performance messaging solutions, server side development, integrations, tools and technologies
  • Works with the business and systems teams to identify the right architecture for implementing new solutions, products and modules
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of the application and infrastructure security reference architecture. Develop, implement and maintain the security architecture
  • Serve as the technical contact point for security related incidents and provide post-mortem analysis. Risk analysis, risk management, and communication of results
  • Perform vulnerability research, assessment and management, serve as technical security/risk advisor on all new technology
  • Act as a SME in the discovery and investigation of critical security vulnerabilities
  • Identify and evaluate critical failure points, determine technical security controls to mitigate risks, prioritize and schedule controls with product development timelines, and work with cross functional teams to implement features according to product maps
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies / products / trends related to security architectural solutions
  • Provides thought leadership in IT strategy, development models, cost-optimisation, innovation and efficiency improvement
  • Provides detailed guidance to multi-functional teams through project planning and other large collaboration efforts. Fosters an environment of open communication and problem solving
  • Develops long term vision of technologies and solutions. Collaborates with IT leadership in planning and implementing of technology roadmaps. Assists the team in researching solutions, solicits input from outside industry experts and recommends solutions to meet business requirements
  • Ability to provide direction and take design ownership for projects which is delivered by a highly technical team that supports a complex environment
  • Responsible for identifying cross directorate and cross project dependencies, risks and activities and negotiating resolution to conflict

Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
  • A proven and demonstrable track record with an architectural focus
  • Demonstrable knowledge of good cyber practice and industry trends
  • Strong knowledge of switching, routing and wireless products; security testing and assurance; severity assessment and risk management; threat modelling
  • Knowledge of security standards (OWASP, NIST, SANS, etc), hardening procedures and network security
  • Expertise in Cloud computing security, including mobile App security
  • Security audit, vulnerability assessment and packet analysis skills
  • Security management certificates (CISSP, CSSLP, CISM, etc)
  • Educated to degree level in a Computing or business discipline (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in the development and evolution of the application and infrastructure security reference architecture
  • Support Legal and Commercial in purchasing decisions to the benefit of Primark
  • Negotiate with key stakeholders involving prioritisation of projects and resources.
  • Experience of mission critical High Availability design and deployment in large transaction volume environments
  • Previous experience of managing complex integration projects in a highly pressurised environment is a prerequisite
  • Experience of setting and managing project development with a wide range of vendors to support solutions in a multi-country environment
  • Previous experience of managing large scale development projects is essential.

Overview of Role:

o    Experience with network architecture and services implementation, including both on-premises and cloud-based scenarios. Familiarity with practices and popular vendors is a plus including those from Arista, Big Switch, Cumulus, Cisco, Dell EMC, HPE, Juniper, VMware, etc.
o    Expertise with core data center networking architecture, implementation and support.  Hands-on experience with DNS, NAT, VLAN, Subnets, Layer 2 and Layer 3 configurations would be advantageous.

Job Summary
The Principal Solution Architect is responsible for collaborating with technology and business stakeholders to develop a scalable SalesForce technical architecture vision and strategy that enables business strategy. Partner with the business and IT leaders to ensure the architecture roadmap continually aligns with business objectives. Working closely with other IT service areas, deliver solutions that are efficient, high quality and at the best possible cost. Through excellence in delivery, help to achieve and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide technical thought leadership for SalesForce platform • Ensure adherence to CRL standards and compliance with regulatory bodies are maintained (FDA, ISO, PCI, SOX, HIPPA, US, EU).• Develop SalesForce platform architecture vision and strategy that include technical roadmaps.• Design and ensure salesforce platform environment is scalable.• Identify the best solution to solve stated business problems and deliver solution options that satisfy business requirements; Including identification, analysis, selection and high-level design.• Create solution blueprints by consulting with the Customer and key IT Stakeholders.• Drive vendor selection by working with procurement and project team; Run proof of concepts as necessary.• Participate in resolving cross-functional and cross-system design issues.• Conduct requirement gathering workshops and fit gap analysis.• Assist in creating architecture standards, related processes and templates and an EA practice in CRL.• Stay current on latest technology advances particularly with SalesForce• Participate in continuous improvement of the Architecture practice.• Collaborate with peers across IT organization and business units to ensure hand-offs are well understood.• Adhere to pertinent regulatory requirements and to company policies, practices and procedures.• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.Experience: Minimum of 10 years working as a SalesForce Solution Architect.Have experience with multiple salesforce implementationsSolid understanding and demonstrated ability for the following:• Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills at all levels• Effectively communicate and make technical information consumable to large, multi-national audiences• Have proven emotional intelligence (EQ) and relationship building skills• Be able to conceptualize and develop impartial alternative solution approaches, articulating the benefits and tradeoffs of each.• Customer consulting skills• Experience building Technology roadmaps• Experience working in an Agile/ product and platform centric operating model

Version 1 is seeking a highly accomplished and professional Solutions Architect with strong enterprise architecture experience to join our multi-award winning consultancy organization.

You will join a diverse team providing IT development and support services, working initially with one of Version 1's most important public sector customers.

You will lead in defining and delivering transformative programs for customers including:

    Role: ICT Security Architect

    Purpose of role: This role is to join the Cyber Security team and lead/actively progress the ICT Security Strategy within Primark. This position will work across software and hardware teams to identify component and system level technical risks, identify and evaluate critical failure points, determine technical security controls to mitigate risks, prioritise and schedule controls with product development timelines, and work with cross functional teams to implement features according to product roadmaps.

    The Security Architect will work with ICT and the business to develop the Strategic Security Architecture Roadmap, Work on projects to ensure they are delivered to the agreed architecture within Primark. A key responsibility will be to report costs to stakeholders and prepare/present cost-benefit analyses to support current and future development models.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provides architectural guidance and leadership on best practices regarding security in software development, user interface design frameworks, high performance messaging solutions, server side development, integrations, tools and technologies
    • Works with the business and systems teams to identify the right architecture for implementing new solutions, products and modules
