What does our Biochip team do? Our Biochip team manufacture products for use across our Biochip Array Technology Analysers including Evidence, Investigator, MultiStat and Evolution. Our cutting-edge technology is used in Laboratories and Hospitals to diagnose health tests as well as veterinary samples and food testing. Location: Randox Teoranta, Meenmore, Dungloe, County Donegal, F94 TV06. Contract Offered: Full-time, permanent. Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 7am-5:40pm over 4 days. What does the Manufacturing Technician’s role involve? The role of the Manufacturing Technician will be working on the production of the Randox Biochip Array products. Key duties: - Calibration and maintenance of equipment. - The operation and troubleshooting of automated production lines involved in the assembly of instrument-specific Biochip Array products. - The accurate completion of manufacturing and stock records. - Completion and recording of manufacturing outputs for KPIs. - The cleaning down of machines and the work area in accordance with standard operating procedures. - Monitoring of the cleanroom environment to process defined specifications. - Assisting in the training of staff in departmental procedures and systems. - The alerting of the Biochip formulation Team Leader and Manager to any problems in the manufacture or testing of Biochip products and highlighting any non-conformances. - Accurate identification and removal of rejected biochips during the assembly process. - High-quality sealing and accurate labelling of Biochip Array products. Who can apply? Essential criteria: - Be qualified to GCSE level or have previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment. - Have the right to work in the UK. Desirable: - Computer literate and confident in the use and application of Microsoft Office packages. - Working knowledge of Health and Safety procedures, including CoSHH. - Experience in a manufacturing environment. As our new Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for all manufacturing activities necessary to support a tech transfer of a NPI to accommodate clinical manufacture of small and large molecule products. Your new duties will involve (1) Manufacturing, (2) Biologic Drug Product commercial support, and (3) New Product Introduction/Project Management. As part of a team, you will be responsible for ensuring that drug product manufacturing is performed in compliance with site and GMP procedures, and that scheduling and manufacturing meets global request timelines. Flexibility around shifts is required, as this will be a 12 hour shift based role, with monthly rotational shift pattern, covering days and nights and weekends.
