Accounts assistant - Dublin city south - 13 month fixed term contract - Remote working - up to €35,000
Your new company
Your new company are an Irish law firm who were established over 40 years ago. In that time they have expanded and now have offices across the UK and North America. They are now looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis until April 2022 at the earliest.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for performing bank transfers, posting payments onto bank accounts and onto ERP systems. You will also be tasked with carrying out bank reconciliations. You will be handling large datasets on complex Excel spreadsheets, utilising vlookups and pivot tables on a daily basis. You will be joining a multi functional team of 14, reporting into the Finance Director but assisting partners with queries and performing ad hoc administrative tasks will also be part of your duties when required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have over two year's experience in a similar role. Having extremely strong skills on Excel and demonstrated experience of using these skills in an accounts capacity is absolutely vital for this position. You will be highly motivated and display exceptional interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a legal practice would be considered highly advantageous.

In return, you will receive a very competitive salary package dependent on your experience. The salary range for this position is between €28,000 - €35,000 and is flexible for the right candidate. This role will be starting remotely giving you flexible working arrangements.

Accounts Payable Assistant - Construction Industry - Permanent Role - €35,000 - Remote Start - South Dublin
Your new company
A long-established and thriving construction company requires an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis due to increased workload. This company has been in business for over 70 years and service a wide variety of clients.
Your new role
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for processing a high volume of invoices onto the system, Adest. You will need to match the invoices using the 3 way matching system with purchase orders, delivery dockets and goods receipts. Ensuring that invoices are approved and set up for payments inside the agreed payment terms is crucial to the success of this role. You will also act as a point of contact for suppliers and subcontractors. You will also be tasked with reconciling creditor accounts.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have 2+ years' accounts payable experience, in a construction or engineering environment. You will have knowledge of RCT and will be proficient with Adest, Qube and SAP ideally.

Area Description:

Our Finance team are at the heart of our business. They are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information in respect of the performance of the business, and for the adequacy of financial procedures, processes and controls across the business in order to safeguard its assets, maximise gross margin and minimise overhead. The aim of the Finance Team is to be to the forefront in providing relevant management information within agreed deadlines to ensure that significant variances and trends are highlighted and dealt with in a timely manner. The key objective is to have all finance staff empowered to provide input to the identification and correction of areas that require financial improvement, and to contribute towards driving financial awareness throughout the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all supplier & customer invoices are processed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Reconcile supplier statements in accordance with supervisor's monthly schedule.
  • Manage employee expense processing.
  • Ensure month end timelines are adhered to.
  • Ensure all payments are properly authorised and coded.
  • Deal with all supplier & customer queries.
  • Carry out admin duties as required.
  • Provide holiday cover for the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable teams.

Skills/Competencies:

  • IATI Part Qualified
  • 3-5 years in similar type role
  • Demonstrates flexibility and projects a positive manner in the face of change

A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Accountant/Junior Accountantwithin the Enva Group based at Portlaoise. The successful candidate will be an individual who possesses a positive “can do” attitude, is flexible and has excellent communication skills. This role would suit a recent accounting graduate or part qualified accountant.

 

The position will involve the following main duties: -

 

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet to ensure month-end deadlines are met
  • Reviewing monthly accounts and providing senior management with an analysis of any variances
  • Processing monthly prepayments and accruals journals
  • Posting bank transactions and performing bank reconciliations monthly
  • Preparation of VAT, VIES and Intrastat Returns
  • Reconciling Inter-company accounts monthly
  • Assisting with the annual budget preparations
  • Providing cover across the Finance team when required ie. accounts payable/accounts receivable duties
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with the annual audit
  • Ensuring compliance with all Revenue obligations
  • Ad hoc Reception cover and other administrative duties as required


Requirements:


  • 3rd level accounting qualification desirable
  • Microsoft Dynamics Nav or similar ERP experience an advantage
  • Excellent computer literacy with strong working knowledge/ experience in Excel essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent numeric and organisational skills
  • Ability to work methodically through problems with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines in a timely and efficient manner
