Established in 1983, our client is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to ensuring the wellbeing of Ireland’s horse population. They provide high-quality laboratory services to diagnose, manage and prevent disease in horses and many other animals. A vast amount of other laboratory services are also provided. Details of all accredited testing is available on the INAB website. They are one of four OIE Reference Laboratories for Equine Influenza in the world.

Our client is committed to delivering a world-class service to their clientele of over 600 veterinary practices and their centre is ISO 17025 Accredited since 2004 and is recognised as such by INAB.

They are now seeking a Management Accountant to join their team in Johnstown for a one year fixed term contract which has the potential to extend or become permanent.

The Role

As a Management Accountant, you will be tasked with preparing group management information on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis with a particular focus on group management accounts.

Working closely with our client’s Finance Manager, you will have the chance to develop in-depth knowledge of our client’s accounts operations and the management of the finance function.

You’ll be involved in a wide range of accounting activities including analytical reviews of accounts work, reconciliations, budget preparation, and monthly management reporting.

Additionally, you will:

- Complete sample and test number reporting

- Undertake monthly payroll and expense calculations and returns

- Prepare VAT returns and year end audits

- Provide holiday cover for the Credit Controller

About You

To be considered as a Management Accountant, you will need:

- To be a qualified accountant with an ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CPA qualification or be part qualified and nearing your final exams

- A minimum of one year’s post qualification experience or at least five years’ part qualified experience, ideally gained within a commercial accounts environment

- Experience of ERP accounting systems such as Microsoft Navision or similar

- Payroll experience, preferably with Quantum

- Intermediate Excel skills

- Excellent relationship building skills, both internal and external

- To be deadline oriented with excellent communication skills

Summary:
Our client is a global bio pharmaceutical company based in West Dublin who are looking for a Finance Analyst to join their growing team. The role will support both the EMEA USGAAP monthly close and local statutory audit for 25 entities. This role provides the opportunity to interact and learn from both operations and finance teams and the successful individual will need to be a self-starter in a very dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:

• Assist in the USGAAP month end close process including account analysis & reconciliation, preparing inputs to month end reports including financial analysis & commentary.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and follow up & resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Support variance analysis of financial results for month end reporting purposes.
• Support inventory close activities.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and queries.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Business/Accounting graduate desirable.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Financial reporting and management accounts preparation.
• Preparation of a management reporting pack with analysis and commentary on KPI’s, for internal and external distribution.
• Preparation of reconciliations and journal postings for the monthly management accounts.
• Ongoing working capital, cash flow and overhead management.
• Supporting the weekly, monthly, and annual budget and forecasting process.
• Maintaining customer master data and managing the debtor’s book.
• Ongoing revenue reconciliations and manage the fx risk through hedging.
• Preparation of the monthly VAT returns. Liaising with the Commercial and Operations functions internationally to support the business.
• Work with the finance team internationally who support the business with the statutory accounts, payroll, and tax submissions.
• Assist in areas of risk management and compliance and liaise closely with external auditors.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability. Proven ability to work as part of a team.
