You will work closely with the Business and Finance Departments to ensure all calculations and procedures comply with contractual requirements.Schedule: Full-time position, Monday – Friday, with standard working hours Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model. Primary Responsibilities: <ul><li style="color:black;background:white;vertical-align:middle">Maintaining and enhancing the team's rebate payment calculation, reporting, and communication processes</li><li style="color:black;background:white;vertical-align:middle">Producing monthly forecasts for the business</li><li style="color:black;background:white;vertical-align:middle">Understanding client contractual obligations and performing detailed manual calculations to determine the rebates due to clients based on those obligations</li><li style="color:black;background:white;vertical-align:middle">Prepares internal and external reporting to support payments to clients and performs rebate payment reconciliations</li><li style="color:black;background:white;vertical-align:middle">Evaluates client contracts and amendments on an ongoing basis and tracks updated rebate payment terms to ensure accurate client liability forecasts and calculations</li><li style="color:black;background:white;vertical-align:middle">Reviews and analyses rebate reimbursements to ensure contract compliance</li><li style="color:black;background:white;vertical-align:middle">Record accounting journals as required for month end processing</li><li style="color:black;background:white;vertical-align:middle">Support senior management with the finance function</li><li style="color:black;background:white;vertical-align:middle">Makes recommendations for process improvements when identified</li><li style="color:black;background:white;vertical-align:middle">Supporting financial audits and month end management report as required</li><li style="color:black;background:white;vertical-align:middle">Conducting ad hoc analyses as needed</li><li style="color:black;background:white;vertical-align:middle">Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses</li></ul>You will be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: <ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting, finance or accreditation with professional accounting body (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)</li><li>Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles </li><li>Advanced level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint</li><li>Experience with SAP / PeopleSoft Financials is an advantage</li><li>Experience in pharmaceutical rebate processing, contract management, or a related finance role is desirable</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications: <ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Experience with SAP / PeopleSoft Financials</li><li>Experience in pharmaceutical rebate processing, contract management, or a related finance role</li><li>Ability to read, understand and execute on detailed contract language.</li><li>Proficiency in financial software and databases</li></ul>Soft Skills:<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Self-motivated and learn quickly</li><li>Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy</li></ul>Please note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
