Overview:

We are looking for a Level 1 Service Desk Engineer to work for a Client of ours based in Cork. This role is telephone / remote support role for our client's customers. This role is a contract role but there is an option to make this role permanent. The role will be worked in accordance with Covid19 guidelines.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for phone, email and portal service request and incident communications.
  • Log, categorizes, prioritize and track service requests and incidents.
  • Conduct initial investigation and diagnosis on Level 1 quick fix issues.
  • Resolve all Level 1 quick-fix issues using technical expertise and available tools.
  • Activate escalation process where the issue cannot be resolved at Level 1.
  • Close service request/incident or escalate to Service Desk Level 2 support, Contracting Authority’s Level 3 support or third-party providers as appropriate.
  • Promote the use of the Contracting Authority’s portal.

Overview:

We are looking for experienced Level 2 Engineers to work for a Client of ours based in Cork. One of the roles is an on-site Deskside Support role and the other role is an on-call Deskside Support role. This role is a contract role but there is an option to make this role permanent. The role will be worked in accordance with Covid19 guidelines.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve escalated Level 1 and 2 service requests and incidents using technical expertise and available tools.
  • Participate in planned project activities as agreed between the person of authority and the customer.
  • Close service requests/incidents or escalate as required.
  • Activate escalation process where the issue cannot be resolved.
  • Liaise with and assist Level 3 engineers and/or the person of authority as required.
  • Liaise with external third parties to resolve service requests and incidents (The client must manage support issues with third party suppliers as required)
  • Break-fix support for desktops, laptops, non-MPS printers, iPads, tablets, etc.
  • Troubleshooting, configuration and installation of IPT desk phones, non-MPS printers, etc.
  • Assist the IT Department with other IT- related support tasks as required e.g. transfer of user data and settings between PCs on new builds or system rebuilds, imaging, software installation, hardware replacement, network patching, office moves, etc.
  • Close service request/incident or escalate to Service Desk Level 3 support, the client's Level 3 support or third-party providers as appropriate.

  • Disciplined and organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel essential)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
