Job Overview
Reporting to the General Manager, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for supporting the GM and management team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diary management, call screening - answering questions, redirecting to appropriate internal personnel.

  • Issue and track return of employee contracts.

  • Continuously improve HR service delivery by identifying challenges and recommending opportunities for improvements.
  • Preparation of power point presentations and subject file preparation in advance of meetings.
  • Provide assistance on projects as required.
  • Provide administration support in Management recruitment processes.
  • Supporting new Management hires and ensuring they are set up on internal systems and linked to appropriate internal contacts.
  • Order preparation as and when required through Total-view.
  • Management of receptionist ensuring the highest standards are maintained in reception and that their duties regarding the site shop are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Familiarity with company systems, ie. Pragma and use of these or obtaining reports if required from the relevant managers.
Competencies:
  • Some HR experience desirable but not essential with a minimum of 2-3 years career experience in a similar role / administrative position.
  • Professional communication skills - oral and written.
  • Can use discretion and care when working on sensitive and confidential data pertaining to company business in relation to employees, suppliers, customers etc and demonstrates confidentiality, good judgement and diplomacy.

This company has a very solid and strong history in the Longford area spanning over 40 years. They are involved with injection mould components for the medical device sector. Recently they where acquired by a global brand and investment at the site continues to grow which can only have positive and growth impacts all round.
They are now looking for a seasoned production supervisor or shift lead to join the team. You will work with a very supportive management team that will work with you to ensure your success. You don't have to have injection moulding but prior experience working within a technical manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
You will have overall responsibility for your shift in meeting its requirements in terms of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Supply, Safety and People.
Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills are essential as well as a full understanding of a high volume technical manufacturing process.
Please note - this is a shift role.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Supervision of production teams to ensure targets for Quality - Costs - Delivery - People are achieved.
Ensures manufacturing-volume requirements are met, On Time in Full, within budget and with the correct schedule mix.
Effectively manages employee performance, including coaching, counselling, developing and monitoring employee's and taking the appropriate performance management action where required.
Facilitating open two-way communications regarding individual, team and company objectives and performance through weekly team meetings and daily interaction on the line.
Develop Operational plans in conjunction with the Production Manager to ensure alignment with overall Site and Operations functions strategy.
Leads problem-solving initiatives and takes an active role in driving cross-functional collaboration.
Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports the Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
Ensures compliance with all company H & S policies and is responsible for all H &S issues on the shift
Develop a training program to achieve optimum cross training versatility and flexibility while maintaining all H & S requirements.
Administration duties which include updating metrics, Time and Attendance system, Holiday planning etc
Education/ Experience Requirements

*3/4 years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment.
*Previous experience of people-management and demonstrated ability in people motivation, organising and team building would be a distinct advantage
*Excellent communication and influencing skills with proven ability to deliver results in a cross function team based environment
*Proven experience and knowledge of process improvements with the use of lean tools
*Proven ability of leadership within a change management environment.
*Good knowledge of GMP / FDA regulatory requirements, housekeeping, health and safety.

Function and objective of the position:
Produces/ packs all applicable products using specification sheets, verbal and handwritten instructions.
Essential duties and responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for supporting the day to day operation, output, Quality and performance of the relevant production / packing line
  • Operate and monitor the production activities and equipment uptime and target outputs, where applicable
  • Responsible for supporting all batch documentation and cGMP of each production run
