This exciting role offers a rare opportunity for you to play a key role in 35 bed nursing home where you will form a key part of the home's management team.

The Director of Nursing will have an in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and regulatory inspection activity as they pertain to residential care centres.

As the DON, you will promote a culture of quality assurance within the clinical area, identifying and establishing benchmarks and KPIs in consultation with the Director of Care, Quality and Standards.

Professional Qualifications & Experience:

  • Have not less than 3 years’ experience of nursing older persons within the previous 6 years.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience at a senior level in a comparable organisation.
  • A registered General Nurse on the Register of Nurses held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
  • A post registration management qualification in health or a related field.
  • At least 3 years’ in a management capacity in the health and social care area
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Knowledge of Residential Care legislation and standards
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge and clinical nursing practice together with future trends in Care of Older Persons.
  • Show evidence of current legislative policies pertinent to Care of the Older Persons.
  • Strong clinical, managerial, and administrative knowledge and ability

We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician for a manufacturing facility in Kerry.
This will be a straight days position, Monday to Friday.
This position will encompass the maintenance and repairs for all production machines and ancillary equipment in the factory to ensure the smooth running of production.
The successful candidate will work closely with production, quality and administration departments to ensure that the Company objectives relating to production output, quality and safety are achieved
Duties will include the following:
  • Organising and planning maintenance to ensure the minimum disruption to production. Implementing and amending maintenance and repair programmes for all production machines and ancillary equipment.
  • Responsible for and set-up of new production machines and equipment
  • Cost and Efficiency : Review existing systems, identify systems to upgrade or automate - recommendations to management, Where granted implement new systems in a cost effective manner
  • Responsible for the stocking of equipment spares and working closely with the administration department in the ordering of spares
  • Ensure process optimisation and smooth running of production machinery on all shifts.
  • Trouble shooting, fault finding and providing technical training and support to the production team
  • Comply with all legislation, in particular Health and Safety legislation Play a leading role in creating an incident and injury free work environment. Responsible for ensuring that work methods are safe and that machinery and ancillary equipment are in safe working order.
  • Comply with company policy and procedures and ensure that all cleanroomcleanroom and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times
  • Keep management informed of issues and concerns in a timely basis

As the Maintenance Electrician, you will have a strong work ethic and have the ability to prioritise work in a very busy production environment. Organisational, planning and effective communication are necessary skills to fulfil this role. You will be a self-starter with bundles of initiative.
Exposure to pneumaticspneumatics, hydraulics and injection moulding machine would also be an advantage.
Typical hours of work will be 8.00 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday. Competitive salary and benefits on offer commensurate to experience.
