Our client is currently recruiting for a Finishing Foreman to join their team based in Shannon, Co. Clare

ROLE:

Under the supervision of the Senior Site Engineer, the Finishing Foreman has the responsibility for delivery of the designated work area, safely, on time to the client’s satisfaction. S/He also has the responsibility for the progress, completion and outcome of the designated work section. The Finishing Foreman leads the construction of the designated work section, always under supervision of the Senior Site Engineer. The Finishing Foreman ensures that the coordinated subcontractors have all the available details, drawings, information and resources to deliver what is expected of them. The Finishing Foreman ensures that compliant/acceptable permanent and temporary works are provided in a safe, professional and practical manner to targets in the Target Construction Schedule and look-ahead schedules. Furthermore, s/he has to ensure full and proper coordination, records and reporting to deliver compliance, sub-contract management and adherence to cost plans in an overall effective manner.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads Health and Safety for the designated work section and coordinates with the Health and Safety team along with other departments to ensure a secure and safe project.
  • Ensures provision of all training/communication to minimize the risk of Accidents; Incidents and Emergencies.
  • Enforces good Construction Practices & housekeeping to achieve low risk high productivity on site.  Coordinates information with other work sections to ensure a real delivery to programme.
  • Coordinates with the Superintendent for any kind of common action ensuring a logical sequencing of construction.
  • Liaises with, coordinates, manages Subcontractors to effectively plan and deliver work.
  • Records and reports Subcontract changes in methods/plans/acts that impede or improve delivery.             Monitors the works against approved Cost Plans to avoid always any additional expense.                                          
  • Check that all approvals; permits; authorizations and checks are in place prior to proceeding.
  • Ensures or orders materials and consumables and assesses reordering or dead stock levels along with the reception on site.
  • Ensures protection and preservation of materials and of the works until handovers or completions.
  • Understanding of the drawings and setting out of the work units.
  • Planning the works in a daily basis and lead the team works along with the assignment of the work´s task under the quality, H&S and design requirements.

SPECIFIC ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Third level qualification in construction
  • Experience in construction for 5 years’ +
  • Experience in residential projects is required
  • Strong computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project
  • Experience with software applications such as BIM360, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills     
  • Excellent knowledge of construction operations and procedures

  • To strictly observe the statutory regulations relating to the supply of medicinal products as per the pharmacy Act 2007.
  • To adhere to dispensing standard operating procedures and ensure maintenance of the appropriate records and hygiene within the pharmacy as per the Pharmacy Act 2008.
  • To ensure that any issues of a Health and Safety nature are brought to the attention of the managing pharmacist.
  • To fulfil the required advisory role in relation to over the counter medicines and ensure that staff on the medicine counter are aware of the procedure for counter prescribing and their limitations.
  • Ensure that the proper procedure for the various Department of Health Schemes e.g. DPS, LTI, GMS is carried out and that they are kept up to date, submitted properly at the end of each month and payment is reconciled as set down by Company Procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels in the Pharmacy ensuring the correct storage and monitoring of dated products.
  • Assume full responsibility during the absence of the Pharmacist for supervising the pharmacy in the provision of medicinal products.
  • To ensure that the Pharmacy is kept clean and tidy and any Health and Safety issues are brought promptly to the attention of the Pharmacy Manager.
  • To ensure while on duty the highest standards of care and service is delivered.
  • To understand, support and participate in the retail operation of the Pharmacy.
  • To participate in training and development programmes provided by the pharmacy.
  • To keep abreast of all changes to registration and PSI practice guidance.
  • Any other duties as required

Leadership & Teamwork
  • Provide support to other stakeholders within the pharmacy and throughout the company to ensure the delivery of company goals.
  • This role requires a high level of pro-activity and an ability to work on own initiative.
  • Build positive relationships with others in the pharmacy to create a positive working environment.
  • Participate in staff training programmes and implementation and be proactive in developing the role function.

Job Description

The Microchip High-Reliability Integrated Power Solutions Centre, based in Ennis, is a R&D and production facility supporting the design, development, manufacturing and test of Integrated Power SolutionsTM (IPS) for high reliability applications.  As the transportation sector continues to demand higher levels of power electronics reliability and integration in order to realise goals such as the more electric aircraft (MEA), Microchip’s IPS Centre of Excellence plays a critical role in supporting these objectives.  Products from this centre include the Power Core Module (PCM) for Commercial Aircraft and Thrust Vector Control module for Space Launchers.  The centre is now expanding and is seeking applicants to assist in the development of leading-edge new products. 

Job Responsibilities:

The successful individuals will perform electronic design and process development for a new range of integrated power solutions using advanced methods, technologies and materials.  These products include silicon-carbide power MOSFETs and diodes, analogue circuits, digital control, monitoring and communication circuitry.  They have a power capability in excess of 5 kVA and are developed and manufactured for use in various high-reliability application areas, particularly in various forms of transportation. 

Senior-level personnel will also have lead engineer and mentoring responsibilities.

These positions are based in Ennis and will involve interaction with other Microchip groups in France and USA. 

Job Requirements

  • Experience in power module design and assembly (preferred) or power semiconductor packaging is desirable
  • Experience in motor control applications is an advantage
  • Proficient in the use of electrical design analysis and Microsoft Office software 
  • Experience in a high-reliability product development and manufacturing environment is an advantage

What are my responsibilities?

 

Your responsibilities will be focused on accelerating our Success Through People in the Ireland factory.

Daily, you will be teaching and coaching leaders and partnering with leaders to engage employees and address employee issues.

 

You will partner with our global HR professional services team and the International HR team to foster best practices consistent with Irish employment law and practices and Daktronics philosophies. You will partner with leaders and our HR team to manage compensation and benefits planning and strategy, leaves and injured workers compensation, and employee communications and development.

 

You will also partner with our global Safety team to maintain and enhance the safety culture in the factory, practicing and teaching Behavioral Based Safety.

 

Where will I work?

 

You will work mostly in our Ennistymon facility, engaging closely with the leaders and employees. Some of your work can be done at home if you prefer, such as communicating with teams in the US. Occasionally you will have opportunities to travel to other Daktronics locations for learning and planning.
