We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Therapy Assistant to join our team in Blackberry CDNT, Dock Road, Limerick

Contract Type: Part Time Permanent Contract

-

Contract Hours: 28 Hours per week

-

Salary Scale: €32,372 - €37,617 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments)

-

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 Days per annum pro rata

-

Overview of the Post:

-

To work under the supervision of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist to provide assistance with the provision of therapy supports to children attending the service and work as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families.

The successful candidate will have

Essential Criteria:

-
  • -
  • Possess the relevant QQI Further Education and Training (FET) Level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills.
  • -

OR

  • -
  • FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills or Healthcare Support.
  • -
-

OR

-
  • -
  • A relevant healthcare qualification.
  • -
-

OR

-
  • -
  • Be currently employed as an Attendant, Multi-Task or a comparable role and be willing to undertake a QQI/FET Level 5 programme in Health Service skills or equivalent.
  • -

AND

  • -
  • Candidates must have the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role.
  • -
  • Full clean drivers licence&
  • -
  • Experience of working with children.
  • -
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • -
  • Be eligible to work in the state.
  • -

Desirable Criteria:

  • -
  • 1 year experience working with young children with ‘complex' disabilities.
  • -
  • Experience of providing a community based service.
  • -
  • Experience of carrying out therapy programmes.
