As a Tender Manager, you will oversee the entire tendering process from initiation to conclusion, ensuring the submission of high-quality tenders within deadlines.
This role requires you to manage and coordinate all aspects of tender preparation, including technical, financial, and contractual elements. You will lead risk reviews, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

As a Tender Manager:
- At least 5+ years in a commercial role, with 10+ years in a senior position within the MV/HV sector.
- In-depth experience in the Irish or UK market, particularly within the MV/HV electrical sector.
- A minimum of a Level 8 degree in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving with adaptability in high-pressure situations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong time management skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines.
- Comprehensive understanding of contractual terms, conditions, and risk management.
Tender Manager Skills:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of the tendering process, ensuring all technical, financial, and contractual requirements are met and submissions are completed on time.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring all tender invitations are captured, tracked, and recorded.
- Ensure that tender folders are maintained, and all relevant team members are informed. Compile clear, organised, and timely submissions.
- Issue tender queries, prepare detailed tender reports, and conduct risk reviews to mitigate potential issues.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effective and competitive project delivery.
- Oversee the maintenance of the cost database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date pricing for tenders.
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers, to support tender success.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological developments to remain competitive in the MV/HV electrical market.
- Implement and manage quality control procedures within the tendering department to ensure high standards.
- Manage and mentor members of the tendering team, fostering growth and adherence to best practices.
- Provide regular updates on tender statuses, including analysis of outcomes and continuous improvement feedback.
The Package:
Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least to 90,000 plus package to include pension, bonus & more.
