Job Summary:

To support nursing services to enhance healthcare delivery, support safe quality care and improve patient outcomes across Bridhaven Nursing Home. The post holder will work collaboratively with all staff in enhancing and supporting practice development; education and training; governance, quality and standards; capacity building; and leadership for nurses and staff.

Bridhaven Nursing Home is a purpose-built nursing home which is located in Mallow town centre in County Cork. Bridhaven is registered by The Health Information & Quality Authority to provide care to a variety of age groups. Bridhaven has capacity for 184 residents. Job Profile:

The successful candidate will ensure that his/her knowledge and skills are utilised effectively and efficiently to facilitate and provision of an equitable and quality client focused service that enhances the health status of the residents.

Qualifications/Experience:

a)     Eligible applicants will be those who:

i)      Are registered, or are eligible for registration, in the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)

And

ii)     Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.

And

b)    Candidates must possess the requisite leadership, managerial and administrative knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

Desirable:

Previous experience in care of the elderly
