Our client, based in Longford, requires a Senior Construction Design Engineer.
Due to our continued growth, our client is seeking to appoint a Senior Design Engineer to join and lead their in-house design team based at their Longford office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence and innovation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
You will be joining a multi site operation that is continuing to expand, and while this current job is a Senior Design Engineer, there is progression into management.
Your duties will include:
- Programme Management: Create and manage design programmes in line with client contractual agreements.
- Technical Leadership: Manage all technical aspects of the business, handling both internal and external queries.
- Tender Collaboration: Work closely with the estimating team, contributing technical expertise and value engineering at the tender stage.
- Manufacturing Coordination: Partner with the Production Manager to ensure manufacturing requirements are met and processes are optimized.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts across Ireland.
- Project Liaison: Collaborate with client design teams, external consultants, and site teams to address queries on live projects.
Knowledge and experience required:
- Experience: 3/5 years design of Modular, timber frame, tier 1 contractor or from a large design company
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD
- Drawing Development: Ability to develop detailed
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to interpret architectural/engineering drawings.
