This role will suit a Senior Mechanical Engineer who has previously led large projects (TIC > €200MM) from concept to completion. The purpose of this role is to be the technical lead of the Building Services engineering design team to ensure we achieve our project deliverables. Here's an example of some of the day to day responsibilities.
- Developing innovative design solutions for new projects.
- Interfacing with client design team/end user
- Lead Technical and Safety reviews
- Design of Building services engineering design – lead the preparation of AFDs, P&IDs, and equipment sizing calculations.
- Managing people in the execution of the project life cycle
- Overseeing HVAC system BIM modelling progress by your team
- Planning resources, measuring and reporting of progress of resources against agreed deliverables
- Estimating resource requirements for projects through the life cycle
- Delivery of agreed design scope within budget hours and schedule
You will have
- Degree in Building services or Mechanical Engineering (Level 8)
- Significant design experience in the pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical or Chemical industry.
- Led teams, investing time in coaching and developing future leaders.
- Strong design experience of Utilities; including Steam, LPHW, CHW, Ability to work and guide teams is essential

- We recently completed work on a client’s new cutting-edge biotechnology facility in Swords, Co. Dublin. This project won the 2020 CURT Project Excellence Award (Projects over $1Bn category)
- PM Group provided electrical, civil and structural design, project management, coordination and execution, and PSDP services on the single largest solar farm in Ireland. This was completed in 2021
