JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Relief Social Care Assistant, Lotus Care Children's Respite and Residential Service's
Status: Permanent, Relief - Part-Time Contract
Location: Co Laois
Reporting to: Person in Charge
The Company
Lotus Care Services are a new company providing respite and residential care settings for people with disabilities. Our aim is to support and provide the best quality care for our service users and in that scope we will provide the best working environments for our staff to learn, develop and expand their careers.
We are recruiting social care workers in the Laois area. The main goal is to ensure service users are supported and empowered so that they can live their life to the fullest.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the Intellectual Disability and Autism sector to join the fantastic team at Lotus Care Services. Your role will be to ensure all service users receive the highest quality of care.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support the Person In Charge to ensure high quality care in accordance with HIQA standards as required to support strong governance of Designated Centre(s)
Ensure that service users receive the highest quality standards of education, training, development and care in accordance with the organisations policies
Perform any task required that contributes to the safety, health and well-being of the service users
Required
Level 5/6 QQI Health Care FETAC
Experience of working with people with complex need in a variety of different situations
Must have knowledge of all relevant legislation and HIQA standards and a proven ability to implement same
IT skills and report writing skills
High level of flexibility
A full clean driving license is essential
Salary and qualifications are in accordance with education and experience.
Job Types: Part-Time, Relief
Rates: €13 - 15 per hour, depending on experience and length of service
