Reularory Banking Reporting Analyst
Maynooth / Home Working
BCM Global are looking for a highly motivated individual to join their reporting team which provides a full suite of services relating to regulatory reporting and rating agency reporting for a large and diverse client base. The role will involve close collaboration with internal Link stakeholders in the Banking & Credit Management unit and regular interaction with external clients, regulators and third party suppliers.
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all routine regulatory reporting activity are completed accurately and within agreed timelines and that any material issues are identified and escalated as appropriate.
  • Complete data reconciliation exercises and quality control checks in relation to all types of regulatory reports and rating agency reports
  • Ensure all data submitted to Central Bank is validated and CBI guidelines are adhered to.
  • Investigate and resolve issues and errors, taking responsibility for ensuring timely resolution of same.
  • Responsible for completing data reconciliation across multiple systems / portfolios / reports.
  • Collate and analyse data from different source types and produce quantitative reporting packs using excel, for Client/ Regulatory/ Rating Agency reporting.
  • Develop and maintain reporting procedures and checklists with a strong focus on internal controls.
  • Assist with testing and enhancements to existing reporting solutions as required.
  • Communicate (verbal and written) with internal and external stakeholders ensuring enquiries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the training and development of team members and provide feedback to management as required.
  • Contribute proactively towards team and department goals and deadlines and perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Experience & Personal Attributes
  • Experience in the financial services industry is required.
  • MS Excel skills are essential to the role [advanced functions e.g., VLOOKUP, conditional format, formula writing, merging spreadsheets etc.]
  • Good working knowledge of Central Bank reporting guidelines is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet and manage strict deadlines.
  • Proven ability to multitask and to an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in drafting clear and concise Policies and Procedures.
  • Exhibit a high degree of reliability and flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • An ability to interrogate and apply logic to data presented from various systems/formats.
  • A third level financial, accounting, or QFA qualification is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Central Credit Reporting Guidelines is an advantage
