Care Network Ireland are seeking a Registered Nurse, (bank hours), for a facility based in Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow,


With new and exciting developments ahead, our client is looking for a number of Staff Nurses for its caring services for retired missionary priests in the beautiful countryside of Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow. The new nurses will be part of the evolving operational team with the goal of providing evidence-based care within an expanding service.

 

The 24 bedded nurse-led unit which is fully integrated in the St Patrick's community, offers a friendly and relaxed environment for residents and staff, all of whom are highly valued and respected. Caring services include both long term and respite care within the Care Unit. Recent developments include an evolving social care service for independent living for the greater retired Society Membership.

 

Arising from the retirement and maternity leave of existing staff, the facility is seeking Staff Nurses to work (1) 26 hours/week on a permanent basis (with the option of more hours) (2) 39 hours/week maternity cover until August at the earliest and (3) relief shifts, which may suit candidates who wish to work fewer hours on an ad hoc basis in a warm and friendly environment.

 

The successful candidates should have:

 

-      Two years' nursing experience (at least)

-      Registered General Nursing qualification preferred

-      Full registration with NMBI

-      Excellent communication and clinical skills

-      Genuine interest in working with the elderly

-      Previous elderly care experience is desirable

-      Flexibility in terms of the working week

Overview of Responsibilities: 


Work within HIQA regulations

To share responsibility with the nursing team for the management of nursing care and the patients environment under the direction of the DON/ADON

Provide direct patient care through observing, assessing and recording care plans while including responses and progress of the resident

The post holder is responsible for working as part of a team, for managing the care of patients and the needs of their families


The Person: 


Excellent Clinical, Leadership and Organisational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Third Level Nursing Qualification

Registered nurses with the NMBI (Decision letter does not qualify)

At least two years recent relevant post-registration nursing experience

Strong clinical and professional ability

Right to live and work in Ireland
