We are a contract bottling, manufacturing and blending company, with over 125 years in the business and our flexible plant enables us to fulfill small quantities for specialist or premium products and high volume established brands.
We're seeking applications for the role of Quality Assurance Technician, based in our Waterford plant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established, energetic company in this growing FMCG sector.
You will have good interpersonal skills and a "can do" approach to your work. You will be highly organised, willing to learn and able to work cross functionally across teams. This is a role where you will genuinely get involved in the day-to-day work and output of a busy client focused environment.
What you'll do..
Assist with maintenance of Quality Systems Manual to BRC Version 9 standard and help ensuring site achieves certification.
Assist with site audits or visits from certifications bodies, regulatory/government bodies or customers.
NCR management - issuing NCRs to suppliers for material, supply chain and quality issues.
Completion of customer issued Non-Conformance or complaints with full investigations detailing root cause and corrective actions.
Issuing COAs, outgoing warrants and customs paperwork on dispatches
Assist with line issues that may arise in liaison with Maintenance & production teams
Completion of customer requests, questionnaires, specifications as required
Assist with Pest Control and liaison with Pest Control Contractor
Internal Auditing- maintenance of Internal Audit schedule and conduct regular audits of all site areas according to schedule.
Maintenance of GMP audits and schedule and management of WGLL standards
Receipt of spirit warrants and review of spirit processing
Ensuring all spirit specifications are available and issuing customer paperwork to Vatting team
Completion of trace and mock recall exercises
Maintenance of micro and chemical sampling
Reconciliation of spirit intakes vs bottling and subsequent input onto customer databases
Member of site Sensory Panel
Trending of Quality performances at end of line
Completion of KPI reports for customers
Consumables ordering
QC and Lab cover as required
Other duties as directed by your manager
You'll have..
- Third level qualification in science, or Food Science
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing facility, required.
- BRC experience and HACCP training is an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail skills in relation to quality, traceability and labeling
- Strong organisational, planning, time management, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and ability to work on own initiative.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
