We are seeking a Production Supervisor for a busy Listowel manufacturing facility. The Production Supervisor is responsible for production output and supervising the operatives on the shift. The working week will be Monday to Friday on evening / night shift.
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the production machines on the shift. This will involve troubleshooting, fine-tuning of process and fixing machine breakdowns. It will also involve removing and setting up moulds in machines.
Responsibilities:
- Produce the product according to agreed Quality standards and specifications.
- Maximise output without compromising quality.
- Mould changeovers, machine maintenance, fix breakdowns, fault finding and process optimisation.
- Supervise, motivate and develop employees to achieve maximum output
- Manage employees in a fair and reasonable manner and refer all disciplinary matters to management.
- Comply with company policy and procedures and ensure that all cleanroom and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Responsible for safe work environment
- Organise and plan production to ensure that it is achieved in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Ensure adequate raw materials are in the system for the duration of shift and the start of the next shift.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have a technical background i.e., a fitter or mechanic by trade
- Will have worked in a manufacturing environment previously.
- Previous experience in Injection moulding machines would also be a distinct advantage.
- Hard working and must have the ability to prioritise work & meet challenges head on
- Organisational, planning, and effective communication skills are necessary to fulfil this role.
- He/she must be flexible and willing to work late or start early on occasions.
