Within this role you will ensure that employees and visitors work safely in accordance with the company’s systems of work. You will also work to contribute to the health and safety team in continually revising the safety system. As well as having responsibility for day-to-day operations in the production area.
You will work to ensure communication to staff of products, policies and procedures as necessary. As well as work to promote the growth of staff development, including training, performance management, and smooth running of operations on shift.
You should display leadership and guidance to the production team, promote and implement systems and initiatives. You will be required to instruct and assign tasks to employees, facilitate continuous improvement activities as well as adhere to, and enforce security, quality policies and procedures.
Other duties within this role include regular reporting to the management team as required, managing timely purchase of essential departmental supplies within departmental budget. As well as ensuring all production documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
What we are looking for:
The Successful candidate should have a minimum of 1+ years’ experience in a similar supervisory or management position. A third level qualification in an engineering discipline is an advantage. Having qualification within a quality discipline (e.g lean process, six sigma) an advantage
Key skills include flexibility, Communication, and teamwork.
Previous experience in RFID card manufacturing or secure printing industry a distinct advantage
