Plumbing Supervisor Skills:  
  • Relevant certification or qualification in plumbing (e.g., FETAC Level 6 in Plumbing, City & Guilds Plumbing Diploma).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, ideally on project-based work.
  • Proven track record in successfully completing plumbing projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems and installation practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.

As a Plumbing Supervisor:
 
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the plumbing team on-site.
  • Develop and implement work schedules, ensuring tasks are completed according to the project timeline.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to plumbers, helping to resolve any issues that arise during installation or repair work.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, including piping, fixtures, and drainage systems, specific to the project.
  • Ensure all plumbing work is performed to the highest standards, adhering to project specifications and industry regulations.
  • Monitor and manage resources, including materials, tools, and labour, to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plumbing work to ensure compliance with project specifications, local codes, and safety standards.
  • Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during the project, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant building codes, health and safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health and safety guidelines on the job site.
  • Conduct safety briefings and ensure all team members are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Report and investigate any incidents or near-misses, ensuring prompt corrective measures are implemented.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the plumbing aspects of the project, liaising with clients, contractors, and other trades.
  • Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on the progress of plumbing work.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and project managers to ensure seamless coordination between trades.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including daily logs, material usage, and labour hours.
  • Prepare and submit reports on project progress, including any challenges faced and how they were addressed.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation, such as permits and inspection reports, is completed and filed appropriately.


The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least of €55000 plus rewards & benefits.
